The waitress is fresh out of school and has no English or German so as the holiday makers come mainly from both countries she probably not gonna last long.

Several mistakes there mate. You donât need to specify a small one, thatâs what theyâll usually give you anyway. Also you donât have to say please in Italy. So all you actually had to convey was the single word âbirraâ.
I speak as a veteran of 30 years shackled to an Italian.

It is fucking hot in the Dordogne. There was a tornado a fortnight ago that ripped the roofs from dozens of buildings, destroyed acres of sunflowers and uprooted centuries old trees. Perfectly normal.

Not quite so hot here in Costa Rica, but we have caught the end of a hurricane thatâs flying about over Nicaragua. Pretty biblical rain yesterday that flooded a road 10 minutes away from our next port of call. Near on 2 hour diversion to get here! Was worth the wait thoughâŠ
And the beach isnât too shabby eitherâŠ
Although Mrs Dizzyfeet wasnât too keen on the energetic wavesâŠ
