đŸ€Ș 2019 General Election Discussion :gov:

Hey steady on! She may be a waste of space but she’s the leader of the party I will be tactically voting for. :lou_lol:

Is Scotland not a country and why shouldn’t Plyd have a voice if they represent enough constituents?
Saying the libs might get more seats is not a justifiable reason. The SNP have nearly double and they’ll have more after the election.
It’s either a debate for the real potential leaders or all party leaders. Swinson is just another tory so it would be biased.

Agree re the court thing

The debates are an absolute waste of time - just some imported US bs that add little or no value

ITV will pull the debate altogether if they lose

Corbyn and Johnson will probably take that as it Is a banana skin they can avoid without looking like they are running away

Certainly a potential banana skin for Johnson, there is only so much bare faced lying he can get away with. Corbyn excels in a debate, he will wipe the floor with Johnson. Whatever your personal feelings towards Corbyn and his policies, he is an honest man who totally avoids personal attacks, refuses to engage in them, whereas that is all Johnson has got. Apart from the endlessly repeated moronic mantra,“get Brexit done, add water, pop it in the oven”. As the ITV documentary last night proved, he is a crook, a compulsive liar, a serial sexual incontinent who has at least 2 illegitimate children, fathered when he was married to someone else. Two of his own grown up children don’t even use his surname they are so ashamed. But sooner or later it will all come tumbling down and he will end up behind bars. You can’t go through life forever, as he has done, cheating powerful and influential people, lying to them, shagging their wives, ripping them off, destroying lives, without them eventually bringing him down, and when it happens it will be a spectacular fall from grace. The bottom line is that he is a wrong-un, a crook, indulging in criminal behaviour, so far with impunity but that won’t last for ever. He has been brought up by an indulgent father who failed to instill in him the difference between right and wrong, by all accounts his serial lying and moral dishonesty started at an early age, and he was applauded, even worshipped by his father for doing it. How anyone who considers themselves to be a decent person could bring themselves to vote for the man to be Prime Minister is beyond me, because you will get exactly what you are voting for.
The Labour Party only needs one campaign poster, just a picture of Boris Johnson with the caption, ‘Would you lend this man 10 pounds?’ Job done.

Corbyn sounds so perfect that he must be light years ahead in the polls

Of course he’s not perfect but compared to your man he’s a Saint. Who isn’t? As for the polls, remind me what the polls said before the last election, over 100 seat majority for the Conservatives wasn’t it? Opinion polls are designed to form public opinion, not reflect it.

I think they might be a little more accurate this time

Labour’s policies were not as radical last time
The Libs were in the wilderness
Labour were a Brexit party (now more in than out)
The Tories don’t have those two idiots running the campaign
If it does become a battle of personalities, then it won’t be an open goal for Corbyn this time like it was against May

I appreciate you detest Johnson and as I matter of fact I have said I don’t particularly like him on here, but I would rather vote for the lying philandering privileged tosser than Corbyn and so would a huge swathe of the electorate. Call it a hold your nose vote if you like.

I’d rather vote for a liar than a guy who has been lied about in the press for 3 solid years.

Sad times.

How fucking sad is that? (rhet.)

I mean nothing personal by that comment. You’re far from alone in holding those views, but it shows how fucked our political system is.

I would rather stab myself repeatedly in the face than vote for Johnson. The man is a prize cunt.

Could make a whole thread from this bit.

The disabled forced to lay in their own faeces than dignity for all(would be my guess).

“I have talked to senior BBC executives, and they tell me personally they think it’s wrong to expose lies told by a British prime minister because it undermines trust in British politics”
And there we have it. Wrong to expose lies by the PM, but perfectly fine to tell lies about the leader of the opposition regularly for the past 3 years. Our unbiased national broadcaster. Sad times indeed.

Does anyone else ever stop and think about these serial affairs Boris indulges himself in? The biggest question in my mind is, how does the flabby, mop headed buffoon get laid quite so often by so many attractive and apparently willing females?? This baffles me.:thinking:

I know, right?

It’s not as if he can open doors, take you on foreign junkets or stick £100K of government funding in your purse.

What’s that? Oh

I can think of 120,000 reasons why he got lucky with the American pole dancer. Jolly decent of the London taxpayers to fork out six figure sums for Johnson’s leg overs.

I am appalled by your implication that women are capable of such base, shallow behaviour. Shame on you. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::rage:

I believe it may have something to do with power being attractive. I find him skin crawling unattractive.
