Probably more to do with the Libs losing ground that the Tories

Every time Swinson screeches a few more votes evaporate

Yes, only a point or two from the tories.
You’ve certainly hit the nail on the head concerning Swinson and her effect :joy:

Best be careful what we say about our next PM(according to no one except herself). Does she never go out or read?
She’s a strange one.

Yep, I’m afraid that between her personal ego and Labour’s party-ego, the Tories will deliver a workable majority.

First negative piece of heckling for Corbyn.

Not sure it was handled well.

BBC radio 4s Today program this morning wheeled out obscure former Scottish Labour MP Tom Harris,(anyone ever heard of him?), who lost his seat in 2015 and hates Jeremy Corbyn with a passion, to tell Labour voters to vote for Boris Johnson. This is what the BBC classes as 'impartiality now. Relentless state propaganda by the national broadcaster on behalf of the Conservative Party during a general election campaign, showing two fingers to the legal rules regarding fair and balanced coverage. The BBC is not fit for purpose, it’s disgraceful that the general public are forced to pay a tax in order to be lied to by these bastards.

The only time impartiality appears to be delivered is when it can’t be helped - when they are doing a live vox pop broadcast where the public can write the narrative.

Swinson really could destroy the little that’s left of her party.
Another one stepping down.

He also criticised Jo Swinson, the Liberal Democrat leader, for her bullish leadership style.

“Jo Maugham QC has noted Jo Swinson’s “hyper-aggressive style”. He is not the only one. I have spent much time apologising for it on the rainy doorsteps of High Peak, and it seems to have spread through the ranks of the party leadership,” he wrote.

Only people defending them

This so called heckler is the Rev Richard Cameron, a Church of Scotland minister from the same mould as the late Rev Ian Paisley. He is on record with some extremely unsavoury views about gay rights, ’ Gay rights supporters are celebrating perversion’, and other such bigoted nonsense. This morning Corbyn was wearing a tartan scarf given to him by a Scottish charity, this ‘man of the cloth’ first asked Corbyn why he wasn’t wearing an Islamic Jihad scarf before going on with his nonsense about a terrorist sympathiser wanting to be Prime Minister. Corbyn gave him what can only be described as a withering look of contempt before walking away. I thought he handled it very well.

Today’s Conservative Party really does have some strange and very questionable bedfellows.

I don’t know what it is, but there has to be a reason they Boris is put into these unwinnable situations.

Seriously, the people behind his campaign are very smart and they know that he’s going to get pelters in these meet-the-proles events and yet they let him do it.

What is the end game?

I think, like a drowning man people will instinctively take pity on him and risk their neck to save him.
However if you sit back and think about it, you’ll let the fucker drown.

I think it’s easy to over estimate the level of talent at the top. Johnson is obviously vastly out of his depth as PM. Cleverly is Chairman and Raab, Williamson, Patel, Javid, Truss and Hancock all hold positions of power. That’s a pretty fucking low bar.

I’m a bit shocked by you saying this.
I thought you were a decent human, so do the decent thing, stop sitting about and plant your foot squarely on the top of the cunts heads. Keep the downward pressure for as long as you can manage

Maybe just something as simple as the fact his completely controlled(to the point no media are allowed to ask their own questions) appearances are being called out and more people now noticing. It’s all very Theresa May and that’s a bad look.
After his previous words about the north and the problems the people there are currently facing it’s probably no more than an acceptable hit(bad press, but better than the caning he’d get if he didn’t show).
Still early days and most would have forgotten it by the weekend let a month away.

Max Hastings (his old Boss) said he was a lazy, useless cunt (well, he probably said “fool” or “charlatan” or something and not cunt, but you get the picture.) Anyway, apparently, Civil Servants at the FO were cheering when he left because he was a lazy, useless cunt as a Minister. He’s prone to verbal fuck up’s, engaging mouth before brain, the hallmarks of a lazy, useless cunt. And he looks like a tramp, presenting the image of a lazy, useless cunt.
And he’s a lying, lazy, useless cunt to boot. If he gets a majority, then the country has too many cunts in it.

I have posted this before, but it’s worth a second look. Max Hastings with a testimonial to Boris Johnson.
'I would not trust him with my wife nor - from painful experience - my wallet"

After his disastrous spell as Foreign Secretary, where it is universally agreed that he was the worst ever to have held the position, a complete embarrassment, you really would think that lessons would be learned and he wouldn’t even get near being leader of the Conservative Party, never mind Prime Minister. Baffling. Some of his performances are already the stuff of legends at the Foreign Office. This is my favourite. At a reception for leaders of ex Commonwealth countries he stood before them and proclaimed,“We have invaded or conquered all of your countries, but tonight you are here as friends”. Oddly enough, some of them weren’t too impressed.

I shared that in the Tory thread. But hey probably needs to be read twice to believe it!
