🏏 :windies: Windies v England (and Wales) :engerland: 2019

2nd ODI starts in 4 minutes. Same ground as the 1st ODI, same type of pitch.

Expect another run fest.

England won toss and chose to field!!

Gayle starts slowly, turns down easy singles.
Didn’t someone mention Groundhog day on another thread?

Except

WICKET

Gayle b Rashid 50 (WI 98-2)

Gone!

Adil Rashid beats Chris Gayle with a googly first up, and then castles him with the next delivery. This is a lovely ball, Rashid putting some extra revs behind his leg-break and Gayle misses it by a mile. He’s aiming over long-on, going for another big six, and he ends up having his stumps rearranged.

Hope c Bairstow b Stokes 33 WI 121 - 3

150odd-3 at the 30th over.

Rule of thumb is double the score at the 30th so, going by that, England should be chasing 300 odd

2 quick run outs 207-5 off 40

289-6

Hetmyer 104* from 83 balls. Without him it would have been a much smaller score.

England need 290 to win.

Currently 76-3 in reply, Bairstow out plumb LBW.

Root and Roy out chasing balls they maybe should have left well alone.

153-3 29 overs.
A more challenging run chase

230-5, they’re making hard work of this.

243-7 yep

Hmmm

Good bowling, slice of luck, can’t complain

Good for our development to lose one

263 all out. First Windies win over England since 2014

That’s it, look for the positives

Still wondering what the umpire was seeing when he gave Curran lbw. It was clearly missing. :lou_facepalm_2:
Twat Stokes had already used the last review on a dismissal that had the “SNICK” echoing around the ground. :lou_eyes_to_sky:

Should have been a easy run chase.

4th ODI today, 3rd was washed out on Monday.

England batting first with Bairstow and Hales opening, no Roy in the lineup due to injury. Stokes returns after not playing in the 3rd ODI.

England currently 28-0 after the 4th over (which cost 15 runs incidentally)

100 up for England after 13.4 overs.

No wickets lost…yet

Oopps I spoke

Bairstow out the very next ball, playing on to his own stumps, 56 from 43 balls.
