:labour: Where now for Labour?

Fixed. :frowning:

Still, look on the bright side, eh? At least Corbyn didn’t get the chance to take energy and rail back into public ownership and run them for the public instead of profit. That would have been a disaster.

As opposed to what exactly?

As opposed to the current ideal situation of private companies fleecing us at will, obviously.

In the meantime Sunak sucks up by saying he hopes Israel wins. Only a fuckwit will think anyone is going to come out of this as a winner. :lou_facepalm_2:

No one is coming out looking good.

Seems to be a complete lack of objectivity and understanding around why the situation arose in the first place.

The lack of condemnation of both sides by western governments (not people) is astounding. The virtue signalling is nauseating.

Don’t start me on the lack of compassion around the innocents on both side.

All imho of course.

Edit: And everyone is frightened to express an opinion because of the elephant in the room

He’s an absolute cretin. He also expressed “unqualified, unequivocal support” to Netanyahu, a monster who describes Palestinians as “human animals” and “cockroaches”. “I hope you win!!!” Ye Gods. It’s even more revolting than Biden’s “other team” remark, do they both think this is a game? Although to be fair to Biden he probably thought he was in Kansas.

It has to be said that Starmer is in a class of his own when it comes to hypocrisy. At PMQs today he rightly roasted Inaction Man for “crumbling” in the face of lobbying from landlords and abandoning the no fault evictions policy. All well and good until it’s announced that Starmer has U Turned on his promise for a right to roam after lobbying from landowners and the Country Land and Business Association. Even though 70% of the public support the right to roam Starmer has caved in to the posh lobby. What an absolute knobhead he is. What is the point of him? We may as well vote Tory and be done with it.

Get outta town!

Hahaha. I could never vote Tory Cobham, but I’m sure you understand my frustration. How on earth has the Labour Party allowed itself to be led by a right wing charlatan like Sir Keir Starmer? It really does put lifelong socialists like myself in an invidious position, sadly there is no way I can vote for a Labour party led by Starmer. No way.

I don’t think you ever will get another socialist PM. When was the last one? Callahan?? That’s half a century ago

Corbyn was the last chance of that. And Starmer was instrumental in ensuring it didn’t happen.

Mainly though, because he wasn’t a good party leader.

If the socialists best effort in the last 50 years meant that they couldn’t even beat the shittest Tory PM ever to face an election, you have to question whether they ever could win again.

I question if Corbyn could win now even with the Tories in the state they are in - I suspect they would be a lot of nose holding and box ticking

Anyway, it looks like they are about to tie themselves up in knots again over Israel

Losing a couple of million traditional labour votes to an old etonian who didnt even have to try and get them, wasn’t a career highlight.
