:labour: Where now for Labour?

I think he should resign for several reasons.

Interesting piece about the “no evidence” part of the rebuttals.

At least the police kept records. The CPS file was “destroyed” on October 26, 2010, and Levitt was therefore dependent upon records kept by police. The details from the CPS side were not available to her and so she was not able to comment upon them. This is the context for her conclusion that “I have seen nothing to suggest that the decisions not to prosecute were consciously influenced by any improper motive on the part of either police or prosecutors.” Levitt makes clear that “I have been dependent on the material provided by the police to show what documents were seen by the reviewing lawyer and the advice which was given.”

Out of interest, if he did resign, who would you want? And more to the point who would be electable?

She’s not an MP at the moment, but I quite like Laura Pidcock. She’s had some time outside of the cut and thrust and would welcome her return back to Parliament.

Northern, socialist and without the baggage of Corbyn.

I like her too but unfortunately she’s a socialist so has no chance. It will be that moon faced cunt Streeting.

Recently resigned from the NEC.

Wack wack oops.

Indeed.

And a question that could equally be asked regarding Johnson.

Anyone who would kill the party off quicker.

Jimmy Savilles corpse maybe.

Jeremy Corbyn then?

I’ve seen some interesting analysis lately, none of it particularly new. The parties we’ve got are broad churches, too broad as it goes. Hopefully the Labour Party will go bankrupt and the split that has needed to happen for 40 years will happen. It’s closer in tone to the original SDP than it is to the original Labour.

Big difference between Labour and Conservatives is that the Tories can stand to be in the same church as each other.

Many a true thought expressed after a few too many.

I’m sure the Labour right will be thrilled to have him.

Labours newest member has just been suspended

Soz John, guess you won’t be getting your peerage from the other side of the house after all

I couldn’t possibly say one way or the other……

I realize that Sir Keir has a lot on his plate at the moment, busy aping Johnson and Truss by flying to Estonia for photo opportunities sitting on tanks, but I do hope he will find the time to address the hypocrisy and double standards regarding his political mentor, now puppet master the noble Lord Mandelson. I won’t be holding my breath though!

And what have we here? Surely some mistake, everybody knows that the last leader of the Labour Party was a treasonous Putin lover who hates his country, we’ve been told enough times. Surely it wasn’t a pack of lies? Tell me it’s not true!
What a corrupt, lying hypocritical country this has become over the last few years.

Mandelson’s going to hell. There will be a hold up getting in. Rap sheets don’t normally come in that big.
