Lady Slowlane and I saw them at The Gaumont around 1982 I think, cracking gig.
Saw them that year in Perth. WA H2O tour. Iâd never seen so many stunning women in one place and spent most of the gig on the pull. Successfully.
I could go for that.
Iâm guessing from that, her kiss, her kiss was on your lips.
and she was down under.
I have to confess Iâm ignorant of them. But Iâm always looking for a new musical experience, so canât wait.
MOR pop really.
Not back in the early '70sâŚbecame hugely successful with a string of hits in the late '70s early '80 but Blue-eyed Soul wasnât a bad early description. Todd Rundgren produced their second album and was always considered âPower Popâ but theyâre all just convenient labels, you either like them or you donât.
Iâll tap a toe to one or two of their tunes. Just always thought they could do better imho.
Could do better
Most successful duo in the history of Pop.
Depends on how you define successful. Most singles/albums/money? Doesnât really matter if you still think theyâre not that good or could have done better though does it?
Apparently in the UK itâs the Pet Shop Boys. I like a few of their songs but wouldnât go out and by their albums & wouldnât say theyâre the greatest either.

Actually, I love that one they did with Dusty Springfield, (just in case anyone hadnât got the message by then ), the theme to Scandal. Terrific song, that.
Saw them live in Dubai absolutely brilliant & camp as hell for there.
And they completely owned Glasto dueting with The Killers couple of years back
Meanwhile.
