Saw them that year in Perth. WA H2O tour. I’d never seen so many stunning women in one place and spent most of the gig on the pull. Successfully.

Not back in the early '70s…became hugely successful with a string of hits in the late '70s early '80 but Blue-eyed Soul wasn’t a bad early description. Todd Rundgren produced their second album and was always considered “Power Pop” but they’re all just convenient labels, you either like them or you don’t.

Depends on how you define successful. Most singles/albums/money? Doesn’t really matter if you still think they’re not that good or could have done better though does it?

Apparently in the UK it’s the Pet Shop Boys. I like a few of their songs but wouldn’t go out and by their albums & wouldn’t say they’re the greatest either.

This could turn into another Brexit thread of lovers and haters :roll_eyes:
