My last ever game for Coombe Bissett.
Opener out for 0
260-1 off 40 overs I was next in. Had always been the Sunday Opening Bat
Opposition about 80 for 8.
They lobbed me the ball knowing they NEVER let me bowl.
1st ball tried an off break off 4 paces. Came out all wrong looped up in the air huge hoick across the line from batsman.
Bowled him
2 nd ball ditto but miles down leg side, called wide but so slow keeper gathers - stumped by a mile.
0.2-0-2
Still one of their best bowling figures.

(Detail - was bowling late afternoon on an East - West pitch as the donkey drop went up it disappeared into the setting sun. I’d been done like that many times. Revenge was sweet)
