My daughter is going on a secondment which will involve her doing very similar work to you. However, instead of showing people around literally the most depressing place on Earth, she will be guiding very wealthy Chinese adolescents around the capital.
She has done this before. One of my favourite stories of hers involves having to pick up a kid late for her flight and turning up at the kids hotel. She hadnât even packed. My girl impressed upon her the seriousness of her situation. The girlâs parents did four grand getting her on the next flight.
Iâm not sure whatâs worse. Getting shown around the most depressing place on Earth, or going to somewhere rather nice but having pap-spawn as your guide.
