And Wes Montgomery, who influenced some of the great guitarists of the sixties, notably Hendrix. The only guitarist Iāve seen play with Montgomeryās technique of picking with the thumb only (incredibly difficult) is Jeff Beck.

Oh wow, yes. You can hear that influence on Wes Montgomey straight upfront and centre. Stunning.
Seen it Lou, and yes, itās lovely. The Les Paul/Mary Ford piece is also outstanding. It reminds me how itās possible to come at a form of music with no real understanding of the genre, or even a particular liking for it, yet be bowled over by it as it unfolds. Thatās what unites these great guitarists of the 40s and 50s - they were brilliant instrumental storytellers.
