After a 2 year break Tiny Desk Concerts are back home.
Alisa Amador is someone Iād never heard of before today, she is a beautiful singer songwriter with such a warm personality. Iām sure sheās going to be an emerging star.

Cleaning the kitchen with the back door open listening to Tones of Town. Itās a stroppy 15 year old now. Deserves to be up there as an all time classic. Never will be.

Pure quality. I wonder what that show was, two drummers? Reminds me of that Live Stiffs one where everyone ended up on stage, but itās far too recent.
It was at the Town and Country Club in Kentish Town, round about 1986. A cracking little band Dave Edmunds put together there, heās a great musician. Saw Rockpile at Poole Arts Centre back in the day, they were superb, Nick Lowe, Billy Bremner, who was a shit hot rockabilly guitarist, not the footballer, Terry Williams drumming who went on to drum for Dire Straits.

Just been checking that gig out, that is the legendary Steve Cropper on rhythm guitar, Edmunds certainly had some pulling power getting someone of his status to play rhythm guitar for him. Likewise Southside Johnnyās brass section.
