They’ve being played a lot on 6 music, Especially Mark Lamacq who has championed them for 2 years. Best live act etc. The message is beautiful and it’s good music.

Fuck I love this

Meant to post this last week

Absolutely hated it as a teenager when it came it (was into NWOBHM and stereo systems were shit back in the day)

Feel in love with it quie a few years back and is a great reminder of the times back then

Here’s another one that I like - completely my student days - was too cool to listen to it - hate the fact Boots nicked it

Heard this on Planet Rock earlier today. Haven’t heard it in years.

Zero 7’s Simple Things always seems to get an outing when I’m on holiday, lazing around. Sia was amazing all this time ago.

ā€œthe best black, gay, one-eyed junkie piano genius New Orleans has ever produced.ā€

Ah but you’re forgetting…ahh, no carry on…the same guy. :lou_wink:

Just come across this map showing each county’s best selling band or artist.

Not sure if it’s 100% accurate (I thought Olivia Newton-John was Australian!)

But I’m unreasonably excited to see scuzzy pub-punk no-marks China Drum are the best selling band from Northumbria. That’s got to give everyone a bit of hope.

Cumbria: Spooky Tooth?? I thought that would have been Wild Beasts.

Born here, grew up in Oz. It was a q on some crappy quiz show.

Much like my fellow Harrow born compadre, Peter Andre.

Frank Turner must surely overtake Craig David soon…

Tbh, I would’ve thought The Troggs would beat Craig David.

Watch out for The Novatones in future maps!

Mrs. LITSL bought the album when it came out 10 years ago. :lou_lol:

I am aware of its vintage, @lifeintheslowlane.

It’s a fucking good song, a decade later.
