Well, that can’t be correct.
I’ve checked, double-checked and dog-tooth-flecked the results, but it still appears that more people voted to keep the sycophantic, charmless, subservient, disobedient, witless, rape-juice-stealing Fowllyd than wanted rid of him.
So, somewhat begrudgingly, but with the full approval of His papship, I’d like to announce that our erstwhile temporary under-sub-under-footman and stand-in butler will be made a permanent under-sub-under-footman and stand-in butler with immediate effect.
In accordance with some of the private messages I received during his temporary tender, I will endeavour to help him to “grow a pair”, to “sort out his shit” and to “stop being a complete and utter fucktard”.
I will also work on his duty roster with His papship. As he will be on a zero-hours contract, His papship will choose the most tax-efficient way of remunerating him.
Please “Join me” (or at least do it by yourself) in congratulating Flyd Owl on his “well-deserved”. ‘promotion’.

Oh Mr Bletch and Your papship, thank you both so much for your wonderful kindness. I’m sure I don’t deserve to have you both looking after me - I really must be the luckiest man who ever lived. But how can you think I would want to be paid? Just serving Your papship, Mr Bletch, Miss Louise and all the lovely posters on this forum is all the payment I could ever need. I hope that I can do a good job and repay the kindness you have all shown me.
I don’t think I want any more of Mr Bletch’s wine or smelling salts though. I still feel a bit funny now.

A couple of things to cover now that bletch has broken the seal.
First, I’m very pleased to have Furball here. That may surprise some, particularly given the friction we collectively generated over at SaintsWeb. Those with longer memories may remember that before we didn’t get on, we actually did. FWIW, I don’t think we’re going to have a problem on here. I tend to wait a bit longer for my chickens to roost before announcing the details of omelette conspiracies that threaten global order. For his part, Furball has been at his best since joining this site. I think it’s because we’re getting to see more of him.
Registered user status on TSW is a real pain in the arse. No PMs, and a limit of three posts a day. It’s severely limiting, and probably keeps forum beef simmering far longer than it needs to. Welcome aboard, Furball. May all your wildest internet forum dreams come true.
Next, a big congratulations to Fowlly D on becoming a permanent stand-in butler. Like many, I was concerned that bletch would throw you aside on the conclusion of his period of limited availability. I am glad that he has ostensibly seen sense, but be on your guard regardless. He’s a wily one. If he tries to palm that 02:00 - 05:30 slot off onto you, please let me know.
