đŸ‘‘đŸ‘© Was Diana silenced?

Go and read the conclusions in the Operation Paget report and tell me that isn’t a rebuttal/debunking of a number of theories.

Did the Americans land on the moon or are the conspiracy theories true?

This is somewhat of a flailing approach.

I suspect it might be a failing approach.

Surely the approach we all have is the same? We look at the information available at the time and we make a decision based on our assessment of that information. I know I am making a massive assumption here but I would venture that the reason that conspiracy theories don’t become the official version of events is down to this process.

Are we to believe that Diana was pregnant at the time of her death because Mohamed Al-Fayed says so? I would be interested to know why the people who believe this have come to that conclusion. If the reasons have weight to them I am happy to revise my opinion.

I don’t think so.

Very few people get onto the moon landings from Diana.

:man_facepalming:t2:

Nope, not even close.

The ‘official’ version of events is the one laid out by the authority. Usually a government or powerful institution. Which is in turn fed to the mainstream media, reported and generally accepted by the majority. That is what people mean by ‘official narrative’. As we’ve discussed (at length) that doesn’t necessarily mean that is exactly what has occurred.

Then your ‘conspiracy theories’ are anything that deviates from that story.

At the very least there should surely be some scepticism of the official account of events that night. So much of it doesn’t make sense. If there was foul play I doubt the Queen and the royals would have been in the loop. It’s easy to forget just what a threat Diana would have been to the established order, she was probably the most famous person in the world bar none, with millions following her every move and words. That’s power. She was getting involved in things like banning land mines, also cluster bombs in the Middle East. When she spoke, milllions listened. She had the power to shape public opinion in a way that would be a clear threat to governments and their interests. It is a fact, which has been confirmed by many sources, that Paris was “crawling” with various spooks that night, including a team from MI6, The Mossad, and French agents. It’s been established that the US were bugging her phone, admitted by the NSA. There can be no doubt that her relationship with Dodi Al Fayed would at the very least have been a cause for concern, the two kids were already spending time with old man Al Fayed, allegedly calling him Grandpa. The future King coming under the influence of Al Fayed, a muslim who was repeatedly refused British citizenship for reasons that have never been explained, despite qualifying, and was a puzzlement to many, would clearly be beyond the pale and would be resisted by whatever means it took. For every, “sources close to Diana” who claim her relationship with Al Fayed was not serious and they weren’t engaged, there are plenty more of the same who say the complete opposite.Likewise with her alleged pregnancy.
What happened to Trevor Rees-Jones, her bodyguard who survived the crash, he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. The only survivor of an incident of that magnitude and the media aren’t interested? And James Hewitt, he seems to have disappeared as well. I’m sure they are both well sorted for the rest of their lives though.
Then there is the, frankly unbelievable, narrative regarding the driver Henri Paul being drunk. A drunk who just two days before the crash passed a stringent, physically demanding medical for his pilots license, including a special flying in low visiblity test, which all experts say would be impossible if he was a heavy drinker. Then there were the abnormally high levels of carbon monoxide levels in his blood, the toxins were so abnormally excessive that he would have been suffering severe headaches and nausea. And he wasn’t just any old over the legal alcohol limit, oh no, he was more than three times over the legal limit. He wasn’t seen drinking by any witnesses at the Ritz that night, quite the opposite, part of his duties were monitoring the CCTV, to check that staff, including drivers were not drinking. He is on film coming out of the revolving doors, bending down to tie his shoe laces or something, and there was no indication at all that he was the worse for wear. You try doing that when you’re three times over the limit!
So we are expected to believe that here we have a professional chauffeur, who’s been given the job of collecting the son of the boss, the owner of the Ritz, and the Princess of Wales. He’s got a few hours to kill, what shall I do? I know, I’ll go on the lash, get absolutely trollied, then lurch on over to the Ritz in the Rolls to pick them up. Nobody will notice. Come on, it’s a fucking nonsense!
The best information about all of this will always be found in the foreign press, who covered it in some detail, unrestrained by D notices and the like. The best quote i read was from a very prominent and respected, I think Dutch journalist.Something like,“The only people who believe this was an accident are children, and some brainwashed British adults who probably think that Cinderella was a documentary”.
I think he may have been on to something!

Stop the count.

It’s not a huge leap if you are talking about conspiracy theories in general.

Yes of course there should be scepticism about offial reports but you have to start somewhere so if there is a claim and an investigation into that claim that would be a good place to start. Invariably other external forces will also investigate the claim and the investigation and report on those separately.

In this particular case Mohamed Al-Fayed claimed that his son and Diana were murdered under orders from Prince Philip and the secret services because Dodi and Diana were engaged to be married, she was pregnant with his child and the Royal Family couldn’t accept the mother of a future king marrying a Muslim.

This claim was not only investigated under Operation Paget but it and their findings have been scrutinised. As far as I know, and I don’t claim to be an expert in these matters, there has been no solid corroborating evidence to substantiate his claims.

I have not read all of the report but from what I have read of the conclusions of Operation Paget it was very thorough and very easy to check their findings and conclusions.

If Al-Fayed had any hard evidence to back up his claims that would stand up under any reasonable scrutiny, where is it?

We can go on talking about Diana being murdered until hell freezes over, but until someone provides some hard evidence it will remain, with all due respect, a conspiracy theory.

Out of interest what would you consider solid evidence of two people being engaged?

Which you done everything to widen on this thread.

Have a go at responding to @Nottarf-Krap’s post. The one that’s on topic

Didn’t think he would - hence the “Stop the Count”!

As I have been badgered into replying, here we go, but this is it from me on this thread ok?

Fair point about upsetting the munitions manufacturers, a point I made earlier, but investigations have failed to find any evidence that this was anything more than an accident.

If the US were bugging her phone presumably they would have evidence that she was engaged to Dodi and pregnant by him. Where is this evidence?

Apparently there was no concern when she was talking of marriage to Khan, a Muslim, so why should there be concern over another Muslim?

The only “evidence” that she was engaged to Dodi and pregnant came from Dodi’s father, Mohamed Al-Fayed. It was verbal as he had nothing to back it up with other than saying it was from a phone call from both of them. Reports of the purchase of an engagement ring are very well coverages in the investigation and don’t back up his statement. None of her close friends and family knew anything about an engagement and pregnancy. In fact some friends said she was still in love with Khan. During one of her last conversations to a close friend she said she was looking forward to getting home - no mention of a baby or engagement. A picture provided of her in a swimsuit apparently showing a “baby bump” was proven to be taken before she even met Dodi. As I have said before, all of this stuff has been well covered in the various investigations into her death.

As said elsewhere, both Rees-Jones and James Hewitt and still alive and getting in with their lives according to media reports.

If you look at the reports, apparently Henri Paul was well known for being a drunk driver and for being able to drink a lot. I am sure we all know some heavy drinkers who can have a skinful and show little sign of it, I certainly do.The business about the carbon monoxide has been covered in the report with no conclusive outcome. Maybe it came from the airbag? Maybe it was a false reading? No one seems to have got to the bottom of the reading.

Apparently he was not licensed to drive that type of limousine. The car itself wasn’t roadworthy and should have been written off. Plans as to who was to drive and what car to use as well as where they were going changed late in the day. As you know, the car crashed at 121mph whilst being chased into the underpass by the papperazi.

Re your point about the foreign press. If they are so much more able to investigate these matters than our own press, how come they too have failed to come up with any evidence that she was murdered?

Ok. I have done my bit for what it is worth.

The only jigsaw piece you could research is Al-Fayed himself.
You will know him as the owner of Harrods etc.
He does have a much deeper, darker and older story.
Discovering that story will open up at the very least some Roger Moore eyebrow raises.
I wont post links or comments, just directing you

Ignoring the presumption for a second
why would they release information that indirectly lends itself to more sinister motives and draws scrutiny on the official narrative?

To put it another way
why would the US cause the UK establishment a problem by releasing said information publicly? Ours is a ‘special relationship’ after all.

If anything, I suspect they would have given our intelligence services the heads up in the first instance.

No doubt GCHQ have reciprocated at some point.

Positively my last go at this, but your post is spot on, even though it should be stating the obvious. Regarding the bugging of her phone, there is no ‘if’ about it. It has been admitted by the NSA. For all their faults, the freedom of information laws over there are very robust and put ours in the shade.Regarding the lack of evidence that Soggy keeps going on about, surely the whole point of these types of operation,(if that’s what it was), is that no evidence will be left, that’s the whole point of them. This sort of thing has been going on since time immemorial, with everything these agencies have at their disposal they can stage pretty much anything, a car crash like this would be a piece of cake.

At the end of the day it comes down to what is reasonable for a person of average intelligence to believe. The main evidence for the official version is that the driver was drunk because he apparently was more than 3 times over the limit,( about 14 shorts apparently), even though nobody noticed. The sweeping statement that Henri Paul was well known as a heavy drinker is just that, a sweeping statement with nothing to back it up. His closest friend and tennis partner gave evidence that they played tennis that morning as they did regularly, and he stated that he didn’t recognize that description of him, indeed Henri Paul declined the usual beer they had after the game and had a coke because, “He had an important job that night”. Plenty more people who knew him expressed similar views about his alleged heavy drinking. As I have said, it all depends upon what you find credible.
I’m sorry, but I have to say that anyone who is prepared to believe that The Ritz hotel’s limousines aren’t roadworthy and should be written off, that the owner of the Ritz hotel was happy to give the job of driving his favourite son and the Princess of Wales to a “well known drunk driver”, who wasn’t even licensed to drive one of these death traps, is surely capable of believing six impossible things before breakfast.

But, but, but, the investigation said it woz an accident #evidence #garethkeenaninvestigates

To be honest this discussion could be captured and added to the dictionary definition of ‘futile’.

And also a great example of why I truly try and keep to the football threads.

Simple questions ignored, then the protagonist (and it’s worth pointing out - the creator of the thread) ups and leaves under an air of having put the conspiracy nuts to bed.

He has previous for this, so don’t get too frustrated. Its why he got hounded off of SW as people couldn’t be arsed with his shit.
