And me. Dry all year. Avoiding cancer thanks
Is that to reduce a specific risk? I’m still having to go for quarterly ultrasounds, among other things
Seven cancers so far identified as being of increased risk from alcohol, which is turned into a carcegenic substance sadly.
I have enough medical issues already, so will leave the Big C for others to play with
Bugger - sorry to hear that fella.
The good intentions of a dry January morphed into slightly moist January - (no mid week drinks) which is morphing into “lets get fucked up in Bruges” this week end
Another one.
Friday’s incident marks the 73rd mass shooting since the year began,
it is only day 49 of the year equates to 3 mass shootings every 2 days.
Something to be proud of…America always does it better.
Jesus wept.
And another one.
Jesus Christ.
Apparently he was asked by his neighbours to stop shooting the gun in his front yard as they were trying to get their baby to sleep. He got the hump and shot all of them. But ‘thoughts and prayers’ so all is good! Fucking sick country is what it is. A force for good my arse.
And another one…
Are we becoming desensitised these now? Lets pray we dont…
I’m still horrified when these stories emerge, but I’ve made a conscious decision to avoid thinking about them. There is nothing I can say or do which would have the slightest effect on America’s attitude to firearms, and dwelling on it only serves to upset me over an issue I can do nothing to affect.
It took one mass shooting in the UK, “The Hungerford Massacre” in 1987 to get Automatic weapons banned. Sixteen people were murdered that day and very few people railed against the ban because they knew what HAD TO BE DONE.
In the US a vast number of people who used to care have given up, their resistance has been worn down into silence.
In the meantime humanity has taken a holiday and a hobby has won the day. INSANITY reigns supreme.
Seeing as we don’t have a ‘US Car violence thread’ (yet), I’ll put this here.
