BBC News - Steve Bannon charged with contempt of Congress
Keep up Phil
His news stream is an hour behind.
Oh my…
Oh, ffs
has Phil heard about this yet!?!?
From the BBC
“ 1. Trump is thought to be preparing for a possible third presidential run in 2024”
Thought they could only do two terms?
He has only done one.
Which I thought was weird.
Tbf it felt like he’d done at least two.
He did more damage in one term than most presidents manage in two.
Biden is genuinely worse. Trump never got us into this much trouble.
As De Gaulle said, America doesn’t have to live in Europe.
Doh!
Tango Man hasn’t been discussed for a while but this is interesting
No doubt he’ll weasel his way out of appearing and also avoid jail.
Any you think UK politics is dysfunctional.
Please. Nothing on the scale of our current clusterfuck was ever achieved by Trump in office. The worst he did was incite his own base to have a go at taking over the government.
Ironically, a group of people taking over our government would be pretty handy here right now.
And inciting inbred fucktards to stage a coup d’état over a democratically elected government because he lost an election is OK?
Ignoring my last post, I tend to agree.
Where is our new Oliver Cromwell?
I was over in the US last December. I caught up with one of my old pals from Northern Ireland. He’s something of a Tory but certainly no radical.
He’d been over there during the whole debacle, and commented that while Trump was claiming election fraud, the other side were seemingly doing all they could to prop it up with their shenanigans.
To understand how the revolt was possible, you first have to understand why Trump was possible. You laugh about the Germans of the 1930s and wonder how they could ever have fallen for such shit. A lot of them didn’t and got killed. The rest can be explained away by having a fucking shit time, weak governments and a toothbrush-moustached twat that promised to make it all better.
I don’t think we’re immune. Trump proves that to an extent but there will be worse than him, and if you actually look at overall damage to the wder world, he didn’t do badly.
I dont disagree with that
But surely the British are better than that?
