šŸ”™ šŸ—” Traitors

Anyone watching this?

I’ve not seen if before this year but am watching it with the family this year as it enters its third season. Rather compelling; my least favourite bit is probably the challenges, but even they’ve been alright.

Yep.

Am not interested in any other reality type shows at all, yet this one is compelling. Think the competitors being normal people rather than fucking oddballs / tv wannabees helps a lot

Nope - attention seeking twats with ā€œthe fringeā€ trying to convince the viewer that this really matters

Not watching. Way too intellectual for me.

And it’s franchise TV and absolutely huge over here as well.

Nope.

Not hitting the demographic on this place

You can close the doors thread tbh.

It wouldn’t normally be my cup of tea.

It’s a fascinating watch, if only to observe how information is just made up on the spot in a vacuum. The speed at which groupthink occurs is also pretty scary.

I will be a bit gutted if Charlotte wins. Her whole plan was to pretend to be Welsh. I’ve never got it.

Traitors today.
The Masked Singer next…
Then?
Post Greg Masterchef…

Daughter arrived.
Chatting.

So apparently the entire country watches Traitors minus a couple of forum members
Old fashioned water cooler chat TV

Make that 3.

I’d rather put my foot through the screen than watch any reality shite.

You should be fluent in Polish by now…your typing is nearly there. :+1:

Uhm

Whats the odds at least 3-4 end wanting to be vacuous ā€˜influencers’ or online personalities… talking of which, who the flying fuck is Molly Mae and why is Amazon promoting a documentary about her ā€˜difficult’ year? Jeez fucking wept - we have a generation who look up and aspire to fucking useless cunts doing fuckall but ā€˜emote’ about how life in the public eye is horrendous after whoring themselves to be in its fucking glare- you could not make it up….

This thread is somewhat emblematic of the current times.

People moaning about something with fuck all experience of it.

I empathise with the general loathing of reality TV; I don’t watch much broadcast telly at all, let alone reality shows.

What appeals to me about it is that it is more like a recreation of the Stanford Experiment.

It is, ironically enough, more about the herd mentality observed on this thread than it is about influencers and whatnot.

@pap sorry mate but you’re either trolling for a reaction or making broad brush assumptions that fit your personal world-view.

It’s nothing like the Stanford Experiment just really shit TV reflecting the me, me m, me state of popular media these days - This is of course me making broad brush assumptions that fit my personal world-view. :man_shrugging:

Yes, I’ve watched it and it is 100% shite

Not sure where you got the ā€œherd mentalityā€ idea from, given it’s such a ā€œhitā€ IRL……allegedly

It is not shit.
It is brilliant TV and making millions for it’s creators.
It’s a global phenomenon.
You’re just being a Boomer.

I don’t like it.
I don’t like Squid Game.
But my opinion like yours is irrelevant.

Its great TV. So, sometimes is American Idol, Slow Horses, Lioness, The Agency, Landman and Silo.
Hell even The Expanse can be good TV

The the premise is entertaining… the sad fact is that its those that see it as means to some sort of ā€˜meaningful’ existence within webworld and that whilst one really should not give a shred of time to these narcissists, there are enough that to perpetuate the ridiculousness of it all… it has fuck all to do with this or that generation, as plenty of ā€˜older’ folks give them the ā€˜pedestals’ they crave….

I’ve not watched it, I don’t hate it as I haven’t watched.
I’m a supposed Boomer but don’t fit the stereotypical description. I know people who do and I’m nothing like them. I plough my own field and harvest my own crop.
Why don’t I watch it…you can’t watch everything…
