As it says on the tin, everything Tour De France. Looking forward to this great sporting event.

Of course Froome will be right up there, but I’m pitching for a Nairo Quintana to win the tour 2016, with Alberto Contador and Tejay van Garderen around the top riders.

I am hoping that Peter Sagan wins a stage after so many near misses in 2015, becoming a 2nd place specialist. But is the Green Jersey king!! Winning the green Jersey 4 years in a row! Adam Yates is going to be one to watch for the future!

**The British riders to look out for - **

Froome - Sky

Kennaugh - Sky

Rowe - Sky

Stannard - Sky

Thomas - Sky

A Yates - Orica - GreenEdge (Oz team)

Cavendish - Dimension Data (South African team)

Cummings - Dimension Data (South African team)

Thwaites - Bora-Argon 18 (German team)

McLay - Fortuneo-Vital Concept (French team)

Then the Ireland rider

Dan Matin - Etixx-Quick Step - Belgium

Looking forward to it - how is Cav’s lead out team this season?

#3

never mind the lead out team, Cav is never going to be the sprinter he was. He has only had a couple of stage wins this season. Renshaw and Eisel will give him a good shot though, as I think he has a great lead team.

#4

Big fan of cycling

I am always up with the leaders

undetected engine in my old armchair and some real good gear to get me up those steep inclines. :astonished:

Some of those Brits in the tour…top boyz

#5

Try and get some pride back, with the cycling and Froome the record breaker? I hope so, but just think it could be a win to far for him.

#6

Dan Martin rides for Ettix Quikstep not Cannondale.

Froome will win although Quintana has a monster team around him.

Age and treachery will always beat youth and inexperience.

On a side note I’m racing Sunday. I won’t win.

#7

Whoops, yes he moved this year! Oh and good luck for Sunday, where yiu racing? I am more off road.

#8

are you breaking it to me gently that Cav’s career is on the decline? :slight_frown:

#9

Only for the last two years

#10

One of the reasons he moved to DD is that he’s now allowed to get into breakways!

#11

I would say the crash in 2014, was pretty much it!

#12

I would love Cav to prove me wrong, as he is one of my favourite cyclists, but his days are gone no matter what team he is in. I hop DD can do it for him at the tour, as he has a great leadout team.

#13

He’ll not beat MK, AG in a head to head and others are now just as good.

I’d sooner watch Sagan. He’s a bloody genius on a bike.

#14

Sagan is one of my favourite riders. As I said in the OP, I hope he wins a stage as the amount of 2nd places was getting silly last year. But a great of the green jersey!

#15

But with that mullet, nowhere near as handsome as the boy Marcel :lou_is_a_flirt:

#16

My Mrs watches him and then leaves a damp spot on the sofa.

#17

On that note I prefer Sagan, as I like a good Tinkoff.

#18

Fat git!

#19

He may be in decline but Cav in his prime, tucked up behind Renshaw, carving their way through gaps in a final sprint was a sight to behold.

Surprizing win for Cav today, made the most of a bizarre and crappy lead outs for for the big guns.
