:tories: Tories in trouble?

Well, we’re Sotonians.

We like our right wingers to be putting crosses in, not fucking burning them :lou_sunglasses:

£9,15 and where would this person live? And if a place did such exist it would be survival not living , huge difference. That goes for the South East and many other parts of the Nation, to me a low tax economy is simply lowering your knickers to big corps. They bring nothing other than low skilled, low paid non unionised work into the Country, globalisation is a reality but it doesn’t have to be a race to the bottom for the people.

You can’t rule places out to live because they’re shit Barry, that’s not how it works. If you earn low money then the assumption is you’ll probably live somewhere a bit shit, but still be able to feed your kids.

So who will do the shit jobs in the posh areas? Gap Ya volunteers?

I don’t know if you’ve ever been to London, or a big city, but most of the time you tend to have nice araeas interspersed with shit areas. For every Sunbury on Thames you’ve got a Feltham within a mile or so.

I dont know if you are thick as pig shit with your snide insinuation but how much is rent is these supposed shite areas? Say travelling from Feltham to Hammersmith? How much does that cost in travel? Its pushing people further and further out so they are having to pay more to pick up shit for their bosses (ironically in the main migrants who are so susceptible to abuse I would have thought you would have been right on that), the long and the short of it is a forced ideological exodus (or illegal housing within zones1/2/3) of the most vulnerable and needy of society, get with the program.

Rent in Feltham for a 2 bed place is around the £900 a month mark. Income based on the above is £1616 per month. If you worked in Hammersmith you’d be looking at a travel cost of £103 a month on an monthly travelcard, although you may drive (if they run a car) as it’s not very far, and that would cut the cost.

You really are all over the place. You’re like a confused puppy that doesn’t know what it’s arguing, doesn’t argue the points made, and then answers questions that weren’t asked.

You are the Donald Trump of this board, and I applaud that.

Jesus shit, I’ve only just seen this. Please tell me Corbyn destroyed him in his response? I so wish I was at the box responding.

Nope. I think people were too stunned at the time. Think it might have been a trap to do so, anyway. You and I may find Cameron’s approach repellent. Much of the rest of the country seems to love it. It’s sad that we’ve got here, really.

Now, I’m hoping my Maths are not wrong, but here is an example of a single mother, living in Feltham and working in Hammersmith, earning the London living wage and working 35 hours per week, just for Barry.

| Income | £1,201.00 |
| Child Benefit | £82.00 |
| Working Tax Credit | £54.00 |
| Child tax credit | £209.00 |
| Childcare element of working tax credit | £402.50 |
| Total Income | £1,948.50 |
| | |
| | |
| Rent | £1,000.00 |
| Council tax | £100.00 |
| Contents ins | £10.00 |
| Gas and Elec | £60.00 |
| Phone | £10.00 |
| Broadband and line rental | £20.00 |
| TV License | £12.00 |
| Travel | £100.00 |
| Clothing | £80.00 |
| Total Outgoings before food | £1,392.00 |

I hear Corbyn has written him a letter. He could at least phone him, surely?

Your tax payer money.

The Department for Work and Pensions is trying to force a rape victim to pay the so-called “Bedroom Tax” on her police-installed panic room, it has emerged.

Ministers were told by the Court of Appeal on Wednesday that the DWP’s policy was unlawful and discriminatory – but they have now said they will challenge that ruling at the Supreme Court.

The woman, known only as “A” for her own protection and safety, is a victim of rape, assault, harassment and stalking at the hands of an ex-partner.

In response to the continued threat against her, police installed a reinforced panic room in her home, as well as other measures such as reinforced doors, alarms directly linked to the police station and a special marker on the house.

I think your maths are wrong. Who pays £60 a month for gas & electric?

In 2015, I mean. My bill for EACH of those services is higher.

Contents insurance is never going to be a tenner in a shit area either. Phone for a tenner?

Again, how to take a good idea, and implement it ridiculously badly.

All this takes is common sense, as with the JSA sanctions, but no, they can’t do that. Ridiculous.

I pay £60 for my 2 bed flat for both. I pay £95 for a 4 bed house.

You need to switch sir!

OK, say £15 for contents then. Phone is a tenner for a cheap Tesco jobby, but let’s say £15 for that as well.

I have accidentally left off water, which is around £35, so we can add £45 to that total.

That greedy bitch with the so called panic room is a weak victim - she needs teaching a lesson along with the poor and the vulnerable.

It’s so much easier than taking on the banks or the powerful.

If Murdoch says dance, just get on your feet, let him tuck notes into your saggy Y-fronts and throw shapes with the rest of the cabinet.

Welcome to 2016.

In Feltham? Try 40UKP, matey. I pay that for contents + building every month.

You’ll put at least 30UKP on a PAYG pcm, I reckon. Do we seriously reckon a tenner is enough without a landline?

Anyway, the wider point is that without help, that girl is down every single month. The only reason she needs help is because her rent is so high.

The bedroom tax was never a good idea. Theoretically, it had chops, but in reality, the stated aim of getting people into more suitable accommodation was NEVER achievable. We just don’t have the housing stock in many areas, and even in the areas where stock was available, it wasn’t for that kind of move.

So the government in advance knew that all they would achieve with the bedroom tax was to get more money out of a captive audience.

A terrible policy, first to last.

£30!! Are you joking? Giff Gaff, Tesco Mobile etc do sim only deals for £12 that would sort them, unlimited minutes and texts, and a few gig of data.

I realise that without help she is down, but the point is she gets help through benefits? Importantly however, she has more than enough to live off for her and her child.

Was talking contents insurance.

The point is that she shouldn’t need to have help through benefits. If you look at her biggest expense, it’s really going to another scrounger, except that person will never catch the tag officially.
