Fingers are being pointed at no 10 for the latest attack on Rishi - apparently that have been consistently briefing against him

Another thought - are spouses (particularly the female ones) legitimate targets?

Carrie has got pelters
So did Cheri Blair
Sam Cam picked up a bit of flak
Now Rishis missus

Funny that Theresa May’s husband wasn’t really talked about - misogyny of the press pack / twitterati?

“Dear Bill…”

Happy days.

Sunak has been fucking skewered.

Both he and his missus had green cards while he was chancellor, which involves a legal obligation to undertake making the US your permanent home.

This is much ado about nothing. As usual certain people are out for a scalp and are overplaying their hand. The non Dom thing has more legs - this visa thing is Mickey Mouse stuff and allows Rishi to easily explain it away whilst claiming a smear campaign. It devalues the stuff that might actually fuck him

Apparently exposing facts is now a ‘smear campaign’. The fact that Sunak is being royally stitched up by team Johnson is probably nearer the mark, this afternoon in an interview Johnson was asked if he knew about Mrs Sunak’s non dom status he smirked and said “No”. He was then asked if the briefings and leaks about Sunak were coming from Downing St. He smirked again and said no no no, heaven knows where they’re coming from. Never mind the obvious question, if he didn’t know, why not? The guy is his chancellor FFS.
Sunak was getting a bit too uppity, wearing his ambition on his sleeve and he didn’t show any loyalty and tried to distance himself when the partygate shit hit the fan. Johnson and co will be loving this, watching him get his comeuppance.

Here we have the Chancellor of the Exchequer of the UK, who is legally domiciled in a foreign country, and has been for all the years he was an MP and a Minister, including 18 months whilst chancellor. It also looks like he paid his worldwide earnings, including his salary as an MP, Minister and Chancellor to a foreign treasury, as obligated under the rules of his US domicile status. It may well be legal, but fuck me, how much more urine can they extract from us poor suckers!
Sunak is just another Tory wideboy, a chancer, and hopefully his chickens are coming home to roost. You know there’s something dodgy about the whole thing when the Sunak’s immediately started lying yesterday, her claiming that she had no choice regarding claiming non dom status due to her being Indian, which was immediately shot down as completely untrue, she applied for it the same as anyone else, it was entirely her choice and decision. Now of course the hounds re running and they won’t stop until it all comes out. They should have just made a statement, fessed up, putting in as much turd polishing as they could get away with, and he may have emerged with a semblance of his reputation intact. He’s fucked now though.

What pisses me off the most about the whole thing is that at the end of the day it’s a story of human greed in open display, by people already fabulously wealthy by any standards. But that’s not enough. Mrs Sunak has lived here for the best part of ten years even though she is domiciled elsewhere. Educated her children here, bought fabulous houses here, avails herself of all the benefits, dwindling though they are, of living here, a fabulous and privileged lifestyle. More than fifty million quid dropped in her lap in dividends in the past eight years alone, she didn’t roll her sleeves up and earn it. But these people still begrudge paying their fair share, and would rather spend countless thousands on expensive accountants and ‘tax experts’ to find every way, every loophole they can to pay as little as possible. How much is enough for these parasites? The Sunak’s think paying your share means donating 100 grand to Winchester public school,(just short of 40 grand a term), as they did this week, and because Winchester school is a registered charity the cunts wont even pay any tax on that donation either! Pay your fair share of fucking taxes you greedy bastards.

Listening to the Tory MPs tying themselves in knots today trying to defend the indefensible was nauseating. I can’t think of anything this lot ‘have said’ they have done which has made anything better for the overwhelming majority, they fuck up everything they touch. And the Lying Oaf will carry on lying, laughing and joking and smirking about it all. Sadly there are many many out there who find this amusing and endearing, and will carry on voting for him. I’m sorry, no offense, but they’re fucking idiots.

They don’t need to find it amusing or endearing to vote for them as long as they remain the only viable alternative in most peoples minds. When that changes, they’ll vote accordingly.

And that’s the problem

Not going to change for a bit. I can’t vote Labour in good conscience, I can’t vote Tory and the Lib Dems stil haven’t got anywhere near lifting themselves out of their self-destruction of 2010.

I’m completely disenfranchised. So is most of the country. That’s the problem.

So.
From afar.
NOT my opinion, but Boris has become a hero in Poland at least for - not being German, or more simply actually helping Ukraine…

Dishi Rishi’s Fishy Mishy - should the public decide to accept it, is to find out who leaked his wife’s tax details, because that’s the important thing.

This Chancellor will self-destruct in the next 72 hours.

Or.
Will be self restricted.

I’d guess someone questions the tax rise as being his decision

Well, senior Tories have been briefing saying that he’s lost his chance to be PM over this.

Unseemly. They folded pretty quickly on the UK tax issue too, which I don’t think actually helped them. More of an acknowledgement that something improper had happened.

Novara Media did well on the reporting here.

Some reporting from Tim Shipman, who knows his stuff.

So can someone explain why Rishi wants an enquiry into a leak of information that identify the Chancellor and his wife’s taxation policy. Surely if they have done nothing wrong why would they be annoyed about their taxation policy being revealed?

Not surprised - not as if he needs the money, does he?

Probably due to the fact his wife is a “civilian” and is entitled to privacy as much as you or I

And privacy is a big deal if you listen to the ambulance chasers who are going after easy jet

As long as it’s within the law it’s their own business. His wife is entitled to privacy in her own business affairs, she wasn’t the one elected as an MP.
