:tories: Tories in trouble?

It’s a word I use very rarely, but this really is a fucking disgrace (I use the word ‘fucking’ all too often, as my ever-loving wife likes to point out, but I rarely use ‘disgrace’. Too many ‘Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells’ connotations maybe).

We are, as we are frequently reminded, the world’s fifth largest economy. Child homelessness, indeed any homelessness, should simply not happen.

Damn. I thought my Sugababe days were a well-guarded secret, but clearly not.

I’m chauffeuring one of The Saturdays around today.

I’ll see if she remembers you.

Immoral/ amoral bastard:

Unbelievable.

I read this thinking this might have been a daft thing to have said

I think his main issue is that the UN bloke said 14 million people live in poverty and I suspect Hammond’s issue is with the definition of poverty being used

This ariticle from UNESCO shows how ambiguous it can be and our media will ignore the type and just print poverty - that is not helpful because people draw immediate comparisons to say extreme poverty when you have to live on a $1 a day, and say that particular article is bullshit

I just type “UN rapporteur” prefaced with other European countries into google- it seems that the UN have been getting stuck in all over the place on a variety of issues

Is this a new direction that the UN is moving in? From peace keeping to some sort of social police?

It’s a common thing with Tory ministers. Who was it that called the UN reps lay people in the commons, when he knew full well they were highly respected international lawyers.
You also can’t compare this country to others, with the$1 a day lie. Do you know what $1 buys in rural India.
Or how about the one that just the other day made a complete fool of himself(again) when trying to lie about Nils Melzer.
I thought the UN looked at injustice and this country is full of it. Didn’t hear anyone complaining when they were looking into non white countries.
As for our media, they like our ministers will lie and hide what they can, just ask the BBC or sky news what happened to the interview they both requested(and was granted) by Nils Melzer.
I’d trust a UN Rapporteur over either of the above mentioned liars any day.

I wonder if they ever leave their gilded Whitehall Palaces to walk in the real world. I suppose he thinks because he doesn’t see street urchins running behind his chauffeur driven car all must be well in the world. :lou_facepalm_2:

So an obscure mp goes back to the obscurity he came from

Sounds like someone had a word in his shell and said don’t be a silly boy.
