🎄 🧵 The Xmas thread 2022

Doesn’t seem to be on Netflix, Amazon or the telly, how does one view this masterpiece?

Cinema or DM for other sources

Yes. I prefer the whole pre-Cristmas build-up to the actual thing.

Can someone organise that chat with Phil, please?

I’ve spent Christmas Eve entertaining two grandchildren whilst their dysfunctional parents bicker and totally fail to get anything ready for tomorrow. In this episode of Shroppies save Christmas, I childmind and cook every single meal for 4 days and the amazing Mrs S sorts and wraps a few dozen presents, cleans, makes up beds and washes up. Between us we clear the dining room of 6 months of Amazon packages and much more. And of course I’m providing the meat for tomorrow. And wine, but they’re not getting the good stuff. That’s earmarked as my reward for surviving. If I actually do survive and don’t murder anyone. Happy Christmas. :evergreen_tree::partying_face::wine_glass::wine_glass::wine_glass:

Enjoying the fact the neighbours have all fucked off elsewhere :+1:

I’m finding it strange that I haven’t heard Pogues’ Fairy Tale in New York once this year.

I believe it was “cancelled”, to use the current parlance. :rage::rage:

Just done the annual family watch of Die Hard

Every year it becomes more and more a conversation about things we don’t do or say now.

It’s like the gift that keeps on giving. :joy:

Edit - and a damn fine film. Also a great historical snapshot of 80’s fashion and tech, which has the kids in stitches
