You knew what Barry does, itās the exact same as on swf when it was always Cortege, Clappers or Gaston. Yet, you courted him and encouraged it.

I think Barry is a decent presence on here, on balance. I agree that heās recently written a load of shite, which people, including yourself, have produced some very funny posts off the back of, which manage to render any nonsense more meaningless than it already is.
I would much rather see that than start thinking about how to curtail debate. Barry has to deal with the consequences of whatever he writes. People may think him idiot, buffoon, or genius on that basis.
Barry is already the most edited poster on here. We edit his threads to make him look like a tit, or at least distinguish it from overall site opinion, and Iāve locked some of them in the past. I donāt get any complaints from him. None.
Self-moderation is key, and I donāt see many occasions where I need to actually moderate. People ignore the kneejerk thread creations, and they disappear.
I think youāre focusing on a very narrow part of the Sotonians experience, and kind of missing a big point. Barry is this threadās Donald Trump. He is not letting a lack of facts translate into a lack of content.
Youāre free to ignore him, and others will take up the charge. Youāre free to engage his limited collection of phrases and demonstrate their complete fucking inapplicability to anything being said, now, or perhaps ever.
But letās not silence the boy. That is not the Sotonians way.
