We’ll see, I guess. It may even work with people in those categories. However, after the last loss to Obama, Republicans were acknowledging that they would need to attract votes from so-called minorities, particularly the ballooning Latin demographic.
Do you think that has changed since the last election? If anything, I would say that the need is more pressing.
Has Trump held out his hand to the Mexicans Pap? He is building a wall, he couldn’t give a shit about them, even when it comes to politics I assume you know this? The Irish vote is tiny comared to the bible vote of the heartlands ie protestant and gun loving.
Surely better to defeat Barry’s arguments with a series of well aimed counterpoints than engaging in mud slinging? I would have thought anyway. Calling people fools isn’t substantial enough to amount to constructive criticism to my mind anyway.

You don’t come here much, do you?
I’m not certain of your questions relevance. The likes of Barry are easily dismissed as fools, but I was given to understand that this forum was striving for loftier goals than that. Hey I don’t want to criticise you, we’re all guilty of dismissing views we disagree with but I’m a believer that a cogent argument or witty retort beats a quickfire insult any day. It’s why I support the likes of Nick Griffin being asked probing questions rather than being shouted down on Question Time. Anyway that’s enough of my rambling and I’m sure Barry is big enough to take care of himself.
‘hypo’ is right but there are time when a wel aimed and frankly rather base insult/ verbal kick in the gonads can at least have the effect of showing an opinion to be as ridiculous as the response - helps keep us all honest and the potential of a humour also relieves a bit of unnecessary tension

It doesn’t work that way, make a **fascist or foolish ** point and get called a fascist or a fool.
Refinement, Bazza. It’s all we can ever strive for
We actually encourage people to down-vote posts that they strongly disagree with, or that go against what they believe to be the forum ethos.
This helps us to moderate the forum. I encourage you to do the same.
Read more of Sotonians and I hope you’ll see that Barry gets plenty of coaching to balance the condescension that his posting ‘style’ naturally attracts.
