We got there in the end but let’s be honest, it was a hard watch. England were slow, turgid, this was Switzerland, not Brazil or Argentina. Let’s be honest, we were dreadful, tactically Southgate hasn’t got a clue. We got lucky.

Right after The Netherlands v Turkey Engerland will have a proper game on their hands unless they try to snuff out any free flowing fast paced, throwing bodies on the line football and play at a pedestrian pace, oh, wait…

I’m fervently hoping for an England/France final. If we win, that’s great, I’ll have seen England win a major tournament for the first time since I was 4. Conversely, if Les Tadpoles Bleus pull it off, I’m quids in on the sweepstake.
