Yeah, right. I was reading that some don’t think he’s a fit for the club and think he would do better elsewhere, others suggest he stays and given a chance etc & they’re not as rabid as you’re making out, if anything they like the fella.
I don’t know if he’s good or bad. I’ll leave that to the professionals rather than us armchair experts tbh.
If anything they’re annoyed that they can’t shift other players due of lack of interest because they cost too much, while he is on a reasonable wage which other clubs can afford.
Funny how different people can read things and see only what they want to see. Maybe that’s why I’m seeing the opposite of you?

I was and still theres a nagging doubt, still he’s a better footballer than Davies and two wrongs don’t make a right.
I know it’s no indication but whenever I was doing fantasy transfers of midfielders that I could afford (i.e not de Bruyne or Salah etc) Tom Davies always appeared near the top of the list of points scored.

A bloke I know, who I’ve said works for Everton has just told me talks still ongoing, his parting words were “good luck” so make of that what you will but some how I’m not reassured…
Given how they have started the season, why wouldn’t they be happy?
One thinks he was referring to the possible loaning deal concerning a Mr Tom Davies.
If he’s that shit he’ll end up being backup and we’ll have to go back to the drawing board in January. The issue we have is not that we haven’t replaced Hojbjerg, it’s that Romeu is off form.

Tbf Romeu is really only a solid defensive mid fielders who is good at passing sideways or backwards, though he has got better going forward imho.
He was nearer to his best after the restart IMHO. Mind you, so were a few others. Reason for hope.

The irony is this would be a dream scenario for the showers of shit that operate the club ie peddling out the last 5 transfer windows excuses of they’ve tried and failed as clubs don’t want to sell (add in the bonus of Covid, gate receipts and you have a perfect storm of SFC shithousery) etc etc but we have no problem shifting shit do we?
