Stokes to Asad Shafiq, OUT , oh, fenced to slip, gottim this time! A much simpler chance, looping to Malan and he plucks it from the sky - no third life for Shafiq! Stokes is the partnership-breaker, a real throat ball, perhaps taking out his frustration after the drop

Stokes to Asad Shafiq, no run, dropped! This gets big on Shafiq and he steers it to gully, where Buttler palms the ball into the air⦠but behind second slip! Buttler did well to get there, but probably should have held on; Malan then threw himself for the rebound but couldnāt get a mitt under it. And Shafiq survives!
Of course

Mohammad Abbas to Cook, OUT , pinned on the knee roll and thatās a huge breakthrough! Fuller length, nips back from a tight off stump line, and Cook doesnāt even consider reviewing that! Thereās the reward for challenging the stumps with every delivery. The slightest deviation off the pitch, and youāre in business!

Good Test for Vince & Crane to miss.
Their young leggie turning it sideways out of the rough to the left handers on the 3rd morning. Stoneman limped along to his P45 and at lunch itās 37-2
All over tonight then
And the pitch is playing up
Getting in favour of this no toss idea
Hasan Ali to Malan, no run, battered on the helmet! Wow, that is a savage delivery, clattering the lid like a cobra bite, not desperately short but leapt viciously, and dislodged the stem guard to boot. Malan receives a standing count from the physio. What a ball. Hasan had telegraphed his intentions with two men back on the hook, but he then served up an absolute peach
How the hell did Pellegrino get to manage our Test Team?
Blimey
Game isnāt over yet. We gotta lead.

Iāve now cursed them but hey
Sven: āKudos to Ed Smith for getting his 2 big selection gambles right. Now if only he can get the other 9 sortedā¦ā
Steve Howes: āCongrats to Dominic Bess - but once again, England are relying on their bowlers to do the batting. Perhaps they should take this to its logical extreme and get their batsmen to do all the bowling.ā
Eng 235/6 at close 125 run partnership brilliant by Buttler to come form IPL and play a proper Test Innings

Thatās close and Englandās players are all out on the balcony to applaud. Their mood has changed a bit over the last couple of hours. A terrific partnership between Buttler and Bess has put a slightly better look on the scoreboard for them. However, the reality is that Pakistan remain in control after that magical second hour in the afternoon when they claimed four quick wickets. Mohammad Amir produced a memorable double-wicket over to jolt Englandās middle order and Mohammad Abbas claimed the key scalp of Joe Root. Pakistan werenāt quite so impressive in the final session, but full credit to the way Buttler and Bess counter-attacked. Many issues for England to ponder, but this pair have shown the way. Pakistan will have the new ball two overs into play tomorrow so that will be another challenge and the forecast is for cloudier conditions. Should be interesting viewing. Weāll be back at 10.30am to bring you all the action but for now, from Gnasher and Miller, itās goodbye and thanks for joining us. Donāt forgot, there is loads more sport going on and you can track it all on ESPNās Ultimate Weekend of Sport. Enjoy!
What Happened on day 4 ? Or do I really not need to know?
You blinked.
As expected crumbled very quickly.
Flight delayed 1 hour then Stansted took their sweet time to bring the bagsā¦
So only tuned in after lunch with Granddaughter on my lap Pakistan were already 68 - 4
Wonderful spell from Broad & Jimmy reduced them to rubble before some agricultural heaves got them to 178.
Went out for a walk in the woods came back to the shocking news that England were not 39-4.
