Southampton are interested in a deal for Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
New Saints manager Russell Martin has been a long-time admirer of the 25-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Watford, impressing with 36 Championship appearances.
Choudhury has one year left on his current Leicester contract, but it’s thought the club are keen to explore the possibility of a new deal.
Sky Sports News has been told the new Leicester manager Enzo Maresca sees Choudhury as a key part of his plans for the coming Championship season.
Choudhury was on Saints radar long before the current manager.
