Wtf?? 
The player may not want to go back to the club that sold him, for all sorts of reasons, I’m mildly surprised that the anti-slavery lot haven’t picked up on that aspect of a buy back clause. Although I suppose in that scenario Man City would just exercise their right to buy him back for 40 mil, then flog him on for 60. Greedy bastards.
At least it’ll likely keep him out of the clutches of Liverpool who are desperate for a new midfield.
But I guess it depends how soon they can activate the buy back.

That’s quite a lot of ceremony for an ageing centre forward who more than likely will be injured or banned for the majority of the season.
