From the BBC, following quotes from Blackburn about Armstrong saying goodbye today:
“Blackburn are keen on signing Southampton’s 21-year-old Republic of Ireland forward Michael Obafemi on a permanent deal.”

Jay Rod. Darren Bent.
Quite a few have done well after promotion, with the same clubs.
Most who get signed (by big clubs) tend not to get many games for a few seasons / at all
Here is what their manager said:
I know he’s had a few injuries but Obafemi hasn’t really kicked on, despite early promise. The next Sam Gallagher? Moving to Blackburn too.
Jarrod Bowen did Ok for WHam after joining last season from Hull.
Transfers are like London buses
Confirms Obafemi on way out then.
“Southampton did make a loan enquiry for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham first, only to be told that the west London club want to negotiate a permanent move as part of the agreement.”
So we said what? “Okay, whilst we’re here, who else you got?”
A bit like when we went to Liverpool for a defender and came away with Minimal Impact instead.
Good background on Armstrong from Tony Mowbray
Clearly resigned to the fact that Armstrong is going and not happy about it. Similarly Ralph over Ings. However Mowbray comes across as a genuinely nice chap.
Yes he comes across really well, but you can tell he is gutted about filling the 24 goal gap.
We have form for this
Remember when Les Reed went Rome to buy a Lamborghini……
4 year deal.
Stories emerging that “other” clubs making bids around £6m for Obafemi & he may not want to go to Blackburn.
But it is Nixon…
Diallo’s brother on loan?
Well if we need a goal from the bench I’m sure he’ll be a better option than Long or Obafemi.
Problem is he’ll probably be called upon fairly often.
Me too
Broja signs!
And here’s one of him with his shirt on, sorry @tigger I’m not looking for any with his shirt off…
