No chance they’ll be paying all of his wages. But to be fair, a loan was always going to be the most likely move as nobody was going to buy him given his lack of game time and dramatic loss of form in the last two years. So you could argue even if we paid most of his wages, provided he was getting a game and putting himself in the shop window (either for Celtic to buy him or other clubs) then it is better than him sitting around as third choice. If he does well then he could create a market for his services or at worst we have saved a portion of his wages and regain a player with game time under his belt.

Tbh the loss will only be £5mil as values are written off annually in line with the contract.
