Still not done…

Crook saying it’s not done is a guarantee that it’s in the bag. The big fat fool.

Pellegrino wants him but can’t afford him; Saints want to sell they want to loan.

Boca Juniors may also be interested.

Would be a good move, he had good times there so might be able to start enjoying his football again, plus a big lump off of our salary bill. Good luck to him.

When I say ‘big lump’ I’m referring to the size of Fraser’s salary, not the man himself.

Good luck to him if the move is finalised. Although his form went rapidly out of the window, in much of his time here he was class. I remember being at the Emirates when it almost Arsenal v Forster - he was outstanding

Interestingly, Fraser was on the bench on Saturday (not McCarthy).

As we’ve signed a hatful of young keepers recently I wonder whether McCarthy is going to be number 2 it if he’s offski too?

I’ll always remember this amazing recovery…

Finally - at least a season overdue

Good luck to him

FORSTER SET FOR CELTIC RETURN

Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is due to have a medical with Celtic today, ahead of a return on loan to the club he left five years ago, Sky Sports News understands.

Forster has been deemed surplus to requirements by Southampton, and is third choice behind Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy.

He is expected to sign on loan until the end of the season, while there would be an option for Celtic to buy him.

Forster will compete with Craig Gordon and Scott Bain, who dislocated his thumb last week.

Given Celtic’s bank balance and that I believe Fraser is a high earner, then him going there as back-up means we must still be paying some of his wages - surely?

This one surprises me… a move to Belgium? Has he been that poor in recent times?

I’d have taken him back.

Lennon had him before and may even see him as a number one. Gordon loves an injury so his chance may come sooner than later anyway.

Yeah, we signed him from Lennon’s Celtic didn’t we (or the Norwegian bloke)?

But can you see Celtic paying Fraser’s entire wage?

Wasn’t Fraser rumoured to be on £70K/week?

You might be right about him being #1 because otherwise why wouldn’t you just stay at Saints?
