⚽ :saints: The Summer 2019 Transfer Thread

Through the middle he looks fine(have i got the right player?), but as there’s others interested he’ll demand a certain amount of game time.
Is the clear out going to be bigger and is that possible? Let’s hope so. Top 10 with by far the youngest squad in the league will be a very good feeling for any true Southampton fan.

Imagine the meltdown from some if we sign another forward and no CB or FB.
Are we going for a “we’ll score more than you” attitude?
That’d be fun (maybe not for some).

Lemina also gave his backing to Chaz before Austin apparently deleted his account.

I don’t understand what their beef is to be honest.

  1. Austin barely played under Ralph and was close to leaving in January. He’s been told he can go in this window as he’s too slow for the new style. So the club prepare for life without him.

  2. Lemina admitted recently that he agreed with Les (I assume) that he was only ever going to be here for 2 years. He has now been here two years so the club are preparing for life without him.

Did they both have the Austrian Alps on their bucket list or something?

Ings is that out of favour that he couldn’t get a table in Banana Wharf tonight

I’ll pay for their flights to Austria if it means that much to them. One way obviously

The usual high quality piece from the Sun. Contains almost nothing except a one word quote. apparently from Chaz.

Assuming it is true, get over yourself Chazza. You gave your all for us, now it’s time to move on

Tbf, if he’s on a good wedge then why move until the contract expires- unless of course he still has the fire in his belly to play, in which case I’d move to a new club because it looks as if he’s not going to get many games in the next season.

He’s a bit of an idiot…but very easy on the eyes…

We cannot be this lucky, surely

Mike Ashley apparently wouldn’t spend money on signing Rondon because he was 29 and would therefore have little to no sell on value.

Therefore I’m calling bollox on them forking out for 30 year old Charlie ‘No Knees’ Austin.

I’d swap Rondon for Austin in a heartbeat.

Agreed. Which strengthens the argument that if you were going to spend money on one of them tomorrow, it wouldn’t be our Charlie.

Charlie Austin’s Black and White
He loves Cashley

How do you view the transfer window so far?
Was reading this article(below) and it got me thinking about it. I’m quite happy so far.
Ralph when asked if there would be more signings gave an instant “yes”.
I believe we’re fine up front. Maybe someone on the right, but we seem to have a lot of lefties, so am sure Ralph plans to move people about.
Midfield looks fine, even if Lemina goes(a self inflicted waste of talent), as some of the kids are already on the edge of the team.
Chuck it all at a CB and a promising young FB(must be able to play both sides), although i have heard Ralph rates Vokins, so maybe chuck it all at Konaté or Upamecano😁
