Miserable looking fucker.

And miles out of our price range.

And would he want to come?

If they build an ice rink, then maybe…

If he did come for that, let’s hope he’s more Torville and Dean, not Eddie the Eagle

With our luck?

According to the text there, he’d cost 15 million Euros, and we’re also happy to meet his salary expectations. Then again, if he’s wanted by all the other clubs who are said to be interested then that price looks strangely cheap. Perhaps it’s merely the cost of his signature, and it’ll be an additional 100 million to actually sign him as a player. :lou_sunglasses:

I had to check i had the right player, but it’s definitely him. He’s been highly rated since he was in his teens and at least half the rich clubs have been following his progress, so why do cheap?
He’s out of contract at the end of the month apparently, which would explain a reduced fee, but doesn’t that mean a big signing on fee(+£10m agent bung)?
Swap him for Mario maybe? That would work for both clubs, but i still think he’s out of our league financially.

Could just be agent-fuelled bollocks then (the tweet, that is) - designed to drop a very large hint to the very large clubs to grab their wallets and start bidding.

And the comments on the tweet certainly subscribe to your view on price etc.

That’d be the sensible way to look at it i think.
The positive supporter might hope he’s a throwback that just wants to play(knowing he still earns a fortune), so will take regular first team football over bigger wages and the wonders of Ralph make him look in our direction.
He’s also probably read that we’ve already sold more season tickets than we did in the whole of last year. That’s sure to sway him our way😂

And here’s the reason why he’s coming to little old Southampton

The 24-year-old midfielder made just 20 appearances across all competitions last season, often being sent to train with Paris Saint-Germain’s reserve side due to clashes behind the scenes.

Any and every big club around Europe have been linked with signing Rabiot on a free transfer this summer, but that midfielder’s apparent attitude problems have turned a lot of sides off the idea - even though he’d be on a Bosman.

We deal with players with attitude problems.

They’re called Dejan Lovren. They’re actually very good for the first year, then decide they want a big money move and end up going to Liverpool in a storm of social media controversy.

Then that big money club buys some real defenders, so they end up with a lot of highly paid time on their Playstations.

Couldn’t be bothered to start a new thread but apparently we have Chelsea at home on the opening day. Tough start if true.

Going up in value

Don’t Sky wait a few weeks before naming their fixtures. Probably after talks with BT?

I call " Bullshit".

Leak was fake. Burnley away.
As a Saints fan checked the most important stuff - not TOO bad a run in at end of season :sunglasses:

Who’d you sell?

Bertrand is still the better player for me but I appreciate the arguments for letting him go.

All aboard!!
