Or which TWO are leaving? That has to be bollox, surely.
The supporters with a positive outlook would see this as both Forster and McCarthy going and whoever takes Forster can have Hoedt as a freebie, just for the positive feelings it will give us😊
Then they’ll stop dreaming and agree, it’s bollocks.
It has to be bollocks. Why on earth would we be prioritizing signing a goalkeeper. We would end up with four, because Forster, reputedly our highest paid player, 80 grand a week is what iv’e heard, is going nowhere unless he gets the same money. Remember, Les Reed and the Canadian wanker gave him a 5 year contract in 2017, 80 grand a week until 2022. For doing fuck all. The situation with McCarthy is a bit puzzling, how did he go from being our player of the year last season, to total anonymity? OK, a couple of reasonably poor performances early season, but still! I totally understand why Ralph is going with Gunn, young, very young for a goalkeeper in the Prem, and obviously a great prospect. But if he develops it is blindingly obvious that he will be snaffled up by one of the so called ‘big clubs’. Goalkeepers showing the potential he does, especially being English, are at a premium in the Premiership, up there with strikers in the sought after department. McCarthy though, must be ruminating on what a fickle game professional football is.
10 mil into the kitty already

First reply from Barry and we all now know his real name is Tariq. That’s quite surprising.
He doesn’t strike me as a Tariq, but these days you can be who you want to be I guess.
I doubt he wants to be Tariq
CARRILLO SET FOR ARGENTINA RETURN
Argentinian giants Boca Juniors want to give Guido Carrillo a route out of Southampton and back to his homeland. Sky Sports News understands they are among a clutch of teams interested in signing the striker this summer.
Carrillo joined the Saints from Monaco in January 2018 while his compatriot Mauricio Pellegrino was head coach – but it has not worked out for the 28-year-old at St Mary’s.
Carrillo has made just seven Premier League appearances and three more in cup competitions without scoring a single goal.
It is understood there are also clubs in Spain, Italy and Mexico who have expressed an interest.
Meanwhile, Southampton are not trying to sign the Fiorentina goalkeeper Bart Dragowski , contrary to reports in Italy.
The Saints are not in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with Angus Gunn, Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster all still on the books.
TARGETT IDENTIFIED
Fulham have revived their interest in Southampton ’s Matt Targett , Sky Sports News understands.
The Saints still see a future for Targett at their club and it is understood only a significant offer would convince them to enter discussions.
The 23-year-old left-back was instrumental on loan at Fulham when they were promoted to the Premier League in 2018.
As long as he gets to us by ferry or eurostar.
Not ITK or anything, but he was awesome for the Saints when I bought him on FIFA 18.
This one’s believable and seems to be exactly what Ralph wants. Can we get a CB next please.
And only cost us £2million
