Well its been a tough day… felt fine first thing, then felt grim from about 10 through to 3pm so went back to bed with a load of paracetamol and water… got up later and made a start, but slow work given 200 year old floor is a bit uneven and only so much adjustment possible with world stickiest sticking gluey sticky thing…
Tomorrow us another day so time for booze

Can I ask what the cables are for coming out of the middle of the floor?
This is in the Study, so i will have double power socket and cat 6. in floor under where desk will be so can charge laptop and use a hard wire internet access for when wifi is not not great

YoungAdults #1 & #2 have solved that problem by running cables from the router to their bedrooms on the other side of the house using rolls and rolls of masking tape to minimize trip-hazards 
Note to self: Sort out moving the router…

Its for when the bastard IT folks go remote when shitty wifi drivers on work laptop get fucked… we also have 2ft thick stone walls so even thigh router is downstairs… make wifi a twat

Excitingly it’s now almost ready to sell (depending on what happens with planning permission for a roof terrace) in preparation for a move from our Brixton 1 bed flat to a real house in Hackney/Walthamstow
