Yeah that was a bespoke piece of software.
I didn’t see the need to massively slow down the Automatic News Thread when hamster porn was detected in another browser window, and yet bletch was insistent.

I think it just dupes the mash-up from News-Now and that loads quickly. I agree with Goat it probably loads more quickly if you’re a regular viewer.
I haven’t checked it for ages, I was usually well ahead of OT. Let me go have a look now

Page 811 loaded quickly and using the elipsis to navigate to the last page, 921, went really quickly too.
Yeah, but to do that, I’d have to go back and churn through about nine-hundred odd pages of very old news to catch up. 
Difficult as it may be to believe – I do actually have better things to do with my time.

Just use the ellipsis (3 dots) at the far right of the page number list to skip 20 pages at a time!!

An excellent idea sir. This will narrow the time it takes down to a much more manageable three and a half days. 
I can open it early in the mornings in the Philippines but i find very little of interest to read on there its all twitter feeds and links that never do anything
Just tried to view the page…it downloaded in 1m 45s. Did a speed test on my connection…Download Speed: 162.64Mbps.
Yeah, we did have a discussion on the value of OT a while back. I think we will pull his plug until can be arsed to make him more sentient. He’ll take it hard but it’s for the best.
