Yes, the timelines were very complex. It didnāt really make sense until the final episode.
Yeah, I found it very confusing too (even having read some of the books and played some of the games).
I believe theyāve said that this season has a linear timeline following the criticism of the jump around format
I enjoyed Hawkeye.
It is about non mutant humans, Clint & Kate.
You can engage with their characters
I enjoyed the 1st half of Venom, let there be carnage.
It developed the Eddie/Venom relationship really well and was funny.
Then it went MCU big finish.
They have a problem
Iām done with the Expanse book series.
I wonāt spoil anything, but what I will say is that after nine books, Iām satisfied Iāve spent my time on something epic.
In truth, theyāre not the best books in terms of use of language. The style is the first person POV approach used in GoT. However, I donāt feel cheated or feel that my intelligence has been insulted. Big, fantastic shit happens, but there are no cheating deus ex moments. The series actually taught me more about how space and space travel works than pretty much anything else.
Iād be amazed if the last three books didnāt make it to TV. Any studio picking it up will get the best bits of the overall story, a built in fanbase - and the story is actually done! (take note GRRM :D)
Going by the trailer for Expanse season six, there are bits in it which absolutely wouldnāt need to be there if the showrunners werenāt planning on doing just this.
Invasion, Apple TV
A very different Alien Invasion show, shot from the perspective of 3 random & dysfunctional viewpoints
This allows it to be a show that deals with very small scale views. With the Internet, TV & Radio mostly gone how do you know what is going on?
That small scale meant many low ratings, but I liked it, in the new SciFi era it was a small story in a big picture.
It had plot holes the size of a Black Hole, but I actually enjoyed it.
IF I had a criticism, then it would be they (spoiler) stole the Aliens from Attack the Block.
A good story, well told.
And Lost in Space season 3 has dropped on Flix off the Net.
Only 2 episodes in but enjoyable so farā¦
Saving that for Christmas. On the road non stop all of this month (finally) snowing hay while rainmaking or something according to Cobs.
Did really enjoy S1 & 2 a clever reboot
Ffs
Realising I have season 12 & half of S13 of Dr Who to catch up.
Yeah I know bit has to be done
Season 6 of The Expanse has just dropped on Amazon Prime Video
Iāve seen the first episode. Itās okay, but I get the impression theyāve been affected by the pandemic.
Must admit I did quite like the season, bit twee in places but worth a watch.
OK the world has just got weird.
Loullobell now sends me her new updates on Instagram.
So what you cry.
Oh shit says Bob, another badge.
She is Gaal in Foundation.
Not had this weird a TV moment since I swapped some weed for a bottle of Malt with a dude parked next to us at Glasto.
Who turned out to be the showrunner for Homeland
Fvck
One of the hardest things Iāve ever done has been finding a way to drop a golf story into a SciFi & Capeshit thread.
Mission accomplished
At least we know why we he never won at Augusta now!
Never heard of her tbh.
Only the central character on Foundation.
My best matesā lad dumped her because she had to āgo away for work for a bitā
Doh
Tbf I only know about this Foundation thing on that Apple thing because of posts on here
Cowboy Bepop bites the dust.
Tbh the wooden acting of the Jet Black character would not of helped
Thatās a shame. I suspect the negative āfansā reviews were largely self selecting given the large fan base of the anime version. Most people arenāt obsessive enough to bother leaving a āreviewā imho.
OK a couple of niggles but overall I enjoyed it and would have been up for another series. Thereās plenty more out there that didnāt deserve series 2 or 3ā¦
Rosamund Pike
I may have mentioned this before butā¦
