Probably a good move for him. He will have had quite the education over the past few years, with all kinds of managers going through that club. If he’s been smart enough to know what to do, and crucially, know what NOT to do, he should do well.

Christ, they’ve ruined some managers. Ancelotti, Koeman, Martinez, Benitez, all top managers…until they went to Everton.
It reminds me of the old running gag where a celebrity would speak to the camera in close up, “I was famous once, but then I went on the Morecambe and Wise Show.” And the camera would pan back to show Andrew Preview in a bus conductor’s uniform.
