:ryder_cup_2020: The Ryder Cup 2020/1

Proper shit of a course, this.

Harrington falling on his sword by putting out Rory first.

Hopefully a master stroke, but I doubt it. I have to say Padraig’s team management and leadership have been very disappointing.

I hope your right but Rory is completely out of sorts. We need to utterly dominate the US and to put the extra pressure on a player so out of form is questionable.

We’re fucked anyway but it just seems a poor decision from Harrington.

Don’t see it that way tbh. He was always going to be dealt a tough hand.
Most of our automatic points qualifiers earned their places back in May. Only Rahm & Garcia made any impact in the Tour Championship.
Fleetwood had a top 10 at Wentworth but never in contention.
The system is what it is, but it hasn’t helped.
Where is the greater pressure? Rory out first hoping something clicks? Or Rory out last hoping he is not needed?

I do think it can be argued his rotation on Day one was flawed but…

Now, in the grand scheme of things, the Ryder Cup NEEDS occasional USA wins to keep the spark burning. It got very stale when GB & Ireland kept losing every time before Seve

Good news is that the Saints game doesn’t clash with the golf today

So just the clash with the Russian GP to worry about when looking for streams!

I take your point about Rory and that Harrington has to work with what he has.

I was coming from the ‘you never know’ angle when we are truly and utterly fucked.

The Yank missed a 2 footer to half. Hopefully will rattle them

And Cantlay thins a chip right over the green. But gets his bunker shot stone dead.

The comeback IS ON!!

Bryson.
Boom.
Incredible

That isn’t golf. That’s insanity.
Drives the green, holes a 31.5ft eagle putt

Rahm, 2 down after 2, looks like he is feeling the weight from carrying the team the last couple of days.

Rory drives in trouble lays up into water still ties the par 5 5th

Well
This is going well…
