Some of our most epic/surreal moments in the sandpit happened at the 7s.

Egyptian salesguy. What’s a scrum? Dutch guy. I dunno. 5 fvcking years theyd been going!
Me winning a prize draw being in centre of the pitch to collect a set of all the shirts signed (donated later to charity) with Ian Drury.
50k crowd. Ian asks me what he should do tge next day.
Go shopping then Karaoke i replied :man_facepalming:
Young salesgirl being put over tge shoulder of a couple of All Blacks screaming YIPPEE! I’ll be late to the office tomorrow

London Irish are the 3rd club this season to be turfed out of the Premiership for going belly up

Rugby union may become amatuer again by the way its going

Official Legal Live Stream and it has POLISH MUSIC FESTIVAL stuff playing atm

Crikey there IS a Brit team here.
But f course being Poland, the Euro Games are in Malopolska (ie the State around Krakow)
Just they don’t have an Athletics Stadium & that is the heart of the games
And in Katowice - 90 minutes up the road.

Oh.
NOW I am feeling smug. and REALLY pissed off at the same time
The Rugby 7s is at the Olympics in Paris. Normally we have the Home Nations and stuff but Olympics obviously it is Team GB
So just worked out I am watching Team GB fighting to qualify for Paris
And I can’t stay to the final as I will be on Ryanair.
Oh wait…

So this whole thing is actually an Olympics Lite. It is full Thomas Bach and even the whole Flame thing.
Cleary some Marketing Interns came up with this back in 2015 as a revenue incremental opportunity idea. We’ve had 2.5 hours of Athletes walking in the Stadium and speeches by Politicians - the bloke who organised this got absolute pelters from the crowd.
I will finally take a photo of a (pseudo) Olympic Flame on Sunday. Almost a bucket list tick.
Think it is finally done Fireworks time

Christ
I hope the beer is cold on Sunday

I have artived.
Team HB

Tight game that

Ive seen many funny things at rugby 7s and here in Krakow.

But the home team losing 66-0 to Ireland and the fire alarm speed of the stadium emptying was jilarious

Thats 66 points in 14 minutes of game time.
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Both Ladies & Mens teams walked through 2nd group games but each conceded an unconverted try.
Resume tomorrow

One is more organised & aware today GB ladies through to QF later. Now Poland ladies v Germany.
Think the Germans will be looking to…
No no NO
Oooh the Polish winget just opened up and showed us her pace.
Great breskaway try.
Oh stop it…
Lunch break 2 hours for beers in town at 1230
Then the big boys get going again

GB Ladies 55-0 over Germany in their QF
Poland Ladies surprisingly 14-5 up v Italy

Jeez
GB scrape through 14-10 v Germany

Hooter goes GB Fvck up kick to touch needs a TMO to determine not a penalty try to win it for Germany.
Very unconvincing but they hot a semi on

It will be GB Ladies v Poland at 21:05 local (20:05 UK) and GB Men v Ireland at 21:35 local (20:35 UK)

Both games for a place at the Olympics and you can watch free on the Official EG stream here - no commentary but fascinating with the Ref miked up

Just reading about Mark Cavendish’s near win yesterday, so turned over to todays race.

Immediately, theres a crash at the back of the peleton and he is put in an ambulance, out of the race.

Bugger!

Spectators curse here by the look of it

Kicked off last night.

MI New York v San Francisco Unicorns tonight 21:30 your time if you can find it (Willow TV for streamers)

Jeez, you can sell anything to anyone these days.

Back in the day i did.

Cricket is on BT Sport 2

Shut Fuck Up won toss & bowl. I have heard of lots of these cricketers. Aaron Finch, Trent Boult, Liam Plunkett Narine and more

If the ā€˜muricans have bought it then there goes any integrity in the sport

Tbh, my interest in Crick-it is inversely proportionate to the amount of corporate hospitality available
