I know Iāve got Tories here. I suspect that Halo is a right wing voice of moderation waiting to let rip, but waiting for me to shut up first. I also consider Halo to be flat out the consistently nicest person on the site. Irrespective of whether my righty suspicions are correct, the fact that I have them shows that I donāt find Conservative voters and decency mutually exclusive.
Iāve been far too tough on the voters in the past, especially before the general election.

Believe it or not, I even let people sign up when they declare it up front! Iāve only really ever met a few spectacularly nasty pieces of work in the flesh, and only a few of them knew they were nasty. Most of my Tory mates bend over backwards to help someone out. Wouldnāt say that too many were that engaged beyond the general idea that someone, somewhere, is taking the piss out of them.

I agree he made himself look a knob and deserved some feedback on that. But to keep constantly reminding him of it and mocking him for so long after the event? I donāt feel is fair response, for someone who was a good member for a long time previous to making a prick of himself.
I just donāt think a few more recent episodes of him acting up should outweight years of good contributions, is all.
A fresh start could be good for him here. A place for fresh starts, after all.

HAving locked horns with Old Nick at (the Legendary) TSW Forum Matches at St Marys, and having become pals with him he would be a good addition but has reached the point he canāt be assed like many of the oldies.
I met up with the old legends of the Take over Threads on my last trip back in Feb (Oh the stories that can be told one day over a pre-match Burger) but none of them want to stick their heads up again for obvious reasons
I guess the primary candidate now, what with the Panama Papers and everything will be Granty. Once the Journos get down to his name on the list and see where all the Curry Night money really went, heāll be looking for a free to post forum. Give him a week or soā¦

Iām in touch with Crab Lungs as he is threatening to play for the Old Blokes footy team.
He responded to my message on TSW, but I donāt know him outside of that.
If he turns out, feels the love in the bar afterwards and manages to fight his way out of the back of goatās Transit on the lift home, (goatās offered him a _ lift _) then Iām sure heād be amenable to signing up.

Never minded Crab Lungs, and would welcome him over here. Not sure itās worth getting overly fussy about someoneās TSW performance. For starters, it aināt the easiest place to get along, and there are normally tons of people that go out of their way to make it that way.
Before I started this place, I used to ask people if they had a TSW account. Most people would simply say ānope, never heard of itā. Most of those that had heard of it thought it was full of dickheads, and wasnāt worth bothering with. Thatās not exactly true, but you can see why people come away with that impression.
Weāre coming up to Sotoniansā first birthday. If we get to celebrate that with a few more signups, thatāll be super - but remember that getting them to sign and getting them to play are two different things. MLG has been so quiet I can only assume that heās duct-taped up in a room somewhere, with just one hand free to (erā¦) play Football Manager.

Iāve never heard of Saintsweb but my understanding is that half of them only like talking shit bout Southampton FC, and the other half only like talking shit bout how the other ppl are talking shit. Theyāre prob better off where they are srs.
