They’ve appointed Andoni Iraola.

Pause for “Who?” and Googling.

He was at Rayo Vallecano.

Pause for “Where’s that?” And Googling.

Vallecano apparently doesn’t exist any more. It is a part of Madrid.

I’ve an unused box of tissues

I doubt it. He has signed so the contract he had has been settled. They can winge all they like about getting the “Premier League” compensation they wanted.

Underwhelmed. Can’t be any worse than the last couple though………….:face_with_peeking_eye:

Hmmm, another one.

Playing in the EPL is crap unless you have massive financial backing. (Please no LFC with their “our net spend is 45 pence”). Even if you can survive there (my team Leeds couldn’t) where’s the fun in two banks of five and try and nick a goal every week. Or fielding second strings in all the cups because you must save the better players for the survival battle? It’s no holy grail. It’s miserable.

I have some sympathy for this remark.

"I am ready for this challenge and with the help of the Good Lord, I will give everything to achieve this aim and to give the supporters a team that makes them proud. “I’m thrilled to be here and cannot wait for my work and that of Jesus Christ to begin.”

What’s not to like. :scream:

We may be saying "Jesus Christ " a few times next season
