Does it travel as badly as Guiness?
No it doesnt
Surprisingly a refreshing change from Lager.
I will have you know that is a triple XL Filipino size.
So yes small
I will be otherewise engaged on the date of your little soiree but thank you for the invite.
Is that a Marks & Spencer one?
Seems to all over the place
My mate has given up booze. Twat.
Anyway, in an attempt to provide some solidarity I have tried some low / no alcohol beer. Some are quite good, but the best (imho) is Adnams Ghost Ship 0.50%. It has to be chilled for me. Bloody good and was cheap as chips in Waitrose for a while.
Ahh…reeling the suckers in before the price hike payoff.
My brew of choice. Amazingly, the White Hart in Cadnam actually started serving it on draught a couple of years ago, don’t know whether they still do.
Thank God we are old and social media didn’t exist in our day

Jamie Tartt centre stage…what a surprise.
They had lucky saint on a couple of months ago
The low alcohol one??
I confess to a pleasant and highly alcoholic evening today courtesy of the RAF.
RAF Shawbury (where Princes Will and Harry trained) is on my patch and they entertained all local dignitaries as a sorry for flying helicopters over us all the time.
I’m not a fan of military pomp but have to admit it was done with style. Great canapés, very good marching band and unlimited flowing wine. And a very pleasant young female Flight Officer assigned to me to attend to my needs.
She helped him find the way out.
Which, at my age, are few.
Arguably, don’t they increase?
Not really, he’s got a bag.
A young girl. In uniform. With my reputation?
Cunts.
This week I have mostly been drinking…
Well, it’s not often I score something under the average of Untapp’d but this doesn’t quite hit the mark. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice cloudy IPA with all sorts of sweet and hoppy bitterness going on but it perhaps it’s a bit thin for me to score it higher. It’s a 3.75 out of 5.
Nice. Great body and carbonation. It feels lovely and soft in the mouth and given it is 3.8%, it has a very grown-up taste. Ultimately a little thin and a little bitter on the back end (for my taste). Also, what is the point of 3.8% of oblivion when you can sim do much higher?
A collaboration with a Brighton brewery I believe. Seems to take all the typical character from a Beak beer - pillowy, bubbly, wonderful mouth feel and balances it with fruit and hoppy bitterness. Was promised coconut and strawberry but didn’t show up.
Well, everything you’d expect in a Verdant IPA and more except a little more hoppy bitterness than I USUALLY like, but this works nicely. As usual, it coats the tongue and you wait for the bubbles and foam to dissipate before the flavour hits you. Lovely.
