Was given a bottle of Durham Gin by the family of my younger stepdaughter’s boyfriend a couple of months back, when he came down to stay for a weekend in god’s county. Just opened it this evening, and my ever-loving wife and I agree it’s a lovely tipple.
A nice Rioja awaits to accompany the lamb Shrewsbury I’ve cooked, and there’s the remains of a 1995 single-quinta Warre’s port to have later in the evening. There’s nice fizz in the fridge too, but not sure if we’ll open that for just the two of us. We’ll see…
