This lot are worth a look - just done a wine tasting of 3 whites and 3 reds - really good quality wine reasonably priced in a box

Wine fact. Wine in a box save 0.5kg of CO2 per bottle equivalent.

Turns out I have a bigger carbon footprint that the Fawley refinery

I’ve been driving past a Monastery and this for past 3 years.

Had some time to kill found their shop

Bought their Cuvee Rouge to try tomorrow.

Will report.
I’m very brave btw. Polish wine has in general been dreadful. Will see

Either they are shit at sticking on labels

Or they have got wet somehow

Or they are going for a shabby chic style

My suggestion would be to have some salted peanuts to hand - they improve most shit red wine

Worst case it will do for a pork neck casserole Saturday

Do the Poles have any indigenous grape varietials?

Youd need a tour guide to answer that.
Oh wait.

Yes

Read this report into the benefits of otherwise of red wine. I was worried it isn’t doing me as much good as I hoped until I read the last sentence, then realised I’m fine.

“There is no good evidence that red wine is good for you,” says Professor Sir Ian Gilmore, liver specialist and chair of the Alcohol Health Alliance UK. The original claim that it might be is partly based on resveratrol, a polyphenol in wine which may be associated with good health outcomes, particularly cardiovascular – but in quantities far higher than those found in a couple of glasses of rioja. “A therapeutic amount of resveratrol would only be found in pints of red wine,” says Gilmore.

Hey @Bucks I see Platform 3 at Claygate Station is open again.

Have you tried it recently and is the beer any good? Worth a visit?

Nah mate. I have not been there since the start of lockdown, but when the sun is out, there tends to be a decent number of folk on the outside tables enjoying the place :+1:

Yeah saw a few people out having a beer this evening as my train pulled past. Might have to drop off next week. ( weather permitting)

Happy Friday to you bunch of alcoholics…

Ah, is that a Wytch Farm special vintage? I only ask as it looks like it’s in a labeled container - albeit an old milk container - rather than anything you turn up with to get filled…

I really shouldn’t have suggested THAT definition of Seniors when I knew it referred to Senior Management.
