If you fancy going completely authentic consider a xinomavro - it’s a indigenous Greek red. If you like the Nebbiolo grape eg a barolo or barbaresco then this will be up your street

Indeed so. We have had several bottles of Thymiopoulos Vineyards 2018 and they were excellent
I must give them a try. Last time I investigated there always seemed to be a hint of sweetness in the reds.

Xinomavro translates literally as sour black so it has enough acidity to balance the sweetness

Bombogenesis, a popular term used by meteorologists, occurs when a midlatitude cyclonerapidly intensifies, dropping at least 24 millibarsover 24 hours. A millibar measures atmospheric pressure. This can happen when a cold air mass collides with a warm air mass, such as air over warm ocean waters. The formation of this rapidly strengthening weather system is a process called bombogenesis, which creates what is known as a bomb cyclone.
