Dude.
If you’re in the neighbourhood, I have some Magic Beans and a cracking Real Estate investment deal on Mercury for you.

Pressing on with the challenge “there must be a decent AF beer on the market”

We have Lucky Saint

This one is actually quite nice - best so far

Adnams Ghostship I think is pretty decent too, although it’s more low alcohol than alcohol free.

Nanny State is good, so is Flat Tire.

Tried nanny State - was ok. Preferred Punk AF.

If you want some wine recommendations, Fré Chardonnay at Asda is the best of the whites by some margin. For the reds, Sainsburys own brand alcohol free (German made.) Don’t bother with the Sainsburys white or rosé, same goes for the Fré merlot. Torres do a white and red, but neither is up to the ones I mentioned.

I hear you on the fake meat. Never really liked bacon so fake bacon isn’t on my list. However the fake chicken kievs from M&S are really very nice.

Uchum… this is the drinking thread, not veg diet thread!

Err it mentions cucumber in the title so a bit of plant based bantz is fine.

Oil!
You leave my bloody pickles alone!

Thread rules 27.8 paragraph 14, clause 68.2 cleary states

''Cucumbers pickled or otherwise are excluded to avoid confusion and prevent hijacking of this thread by ‘plant based dietary’ whims…

The only vegetable matter allowed is if discussing those being malted, fermented and/or distilled, followed by maturation and consumption.

Suggesting that cucumbers are being matured in brine / vinegar and ultimately consumed, is also inadequate. They fail to meet all the qualifying criteria’’

The Big Drop stout in the purple can crops up occasionally in Sainsburys. And surprisingly, it’s rather decent.

I need help fellow Sotonians, what to drink first?

  • The Plantation Rum
  • The Bourbon
  • The Peaky Blinders Rum
