My mate John C from US band Calexico PMd me last night. The band are really excited as they are in Nashville and are playing The Ryman Auditorium (Grand Ole Opry) for the first time. The band have toured the world over the last 25 years and played a lot of pretty iconic venues but itās really nice to see seasoned professionals still get excited playing these places.
BTW @saintbletch Calexico and Iron and Wine are touring with Andrew Bird this summer. Iām hoping theyāll tour together over hereā¦love to see them on the same bill.

A week of. Well, they should all speak English. They should open shops on Sunday. They should build a coffee shop (in the middle of a mountain) . They should build a cable car that isnāt affected by wind, I came all this way.

It is not safe up the mountain, wind chill means it is about -13C. Everything will be frozen.
I walked from the horse drop off to the lake for 30 minutes in that cold. Why didnāt someone tell me the lake would be frozen.

Since assuming my new role, Iāve been involved in a lot of tweaks to existing stuff. Very successful tweaks, I might add, but tweaks nonetheless.
Started work on my first greenfield project today at the new place, and I donāt mind admitting the memory was fuzzy on how to do things right from scratch.
I did things right. From scratch.
The guts of it are there. There are one or ten things Iād like to add. Iām back to tweaking again, arenāt I?
