This may as well be a private message to @BTripz, but the simple joy of having a Linux machine at your disposal.
They’ve recently given me a new laptop. The old laptop is three years old, but still has an i7, and Linux is generally a lot less demanding than Windows. The fact that it only has 8GB of RAM doesn’t seem to matter.

It seems Adobe PDFs are also an issue.
I discovered this by being
- A Genius
- Old.
Basically I have to print 3 years of Bank statements by Tuesday for Immigration and dont have time to listen to advice that hasn’t worked.
So I went old skool.
Opened MS Word, switched to Landscape.
Openened the pdf. Shrank it to 75%. Opened snipping tool et voila
2 statements per page less ink used and the piece of shit printer can cope with a Word doc.
I’d post a smug face but still 2 years to go and dodgy Internet means a lot of the files that were zipped are corrupted
I then moved each printed file to a new folder so I dont duplicate my works
Oh and yes I had to sign up for a 21 day win zip free trial ffs download install.
Only 2 more years to go

Yep my Plex server is a creaky old Dell box running Mint Linux.
Not sure of the chipset but I think it’s an i5 with 8gb RAM

Only use for the blow so far is blowing shit over the granddog whilst he was here. Good fun, as long as I don’t get caught doing it.

Knee Doc today. All very Polish/1970s GP waiting room to get in.
Main man on vacation Mrs P_F’s eyes light up at the hunky young Doc.
Some explanations of the issue & history & I have to get my trousers off.
Mrs P_F’s face fills with horror - there are 3 extremely cute young ladies also in the room, Receptionist, Intern & Nurse.
I get a knee fondled, and muscle grope all the way up.
Then have to sit there in my undies for 20 minutes while the special gel to inject into my knees is delivered.
Pretty sure the ladies will need counselling after that horror show.
